Beautiful and real. Loved the cinematography and OST. Actors were so good, I'm surprised they are not in anything else yet. I would love more of this type of drama.
I totally understand the people who say that a good BL doesn't need a kiss scene to be good. Like I get it...but…
Totally agree. Why the need to have 2 men in a relationship but they never have any real physical intimacy. What is the message. If you comment in the wrong places about wanting more skinship you are accused of only wanting to watch for the explicit scenes. No, that's not it at all. A realistic portrayal of love is healthy. I'm really struggling with this concept in BLs and what it means.
This is seriously underrated. The plot was interesting and different. A few clichés but nothing over the top and they were dealt with appropriately. The actors and OST were great. It seems that a lot of media (no matter the genre) eventually ends up leaning towards two extremes, either extreme fluff in a happy fantasy land or dark and angsty with little relief. I believe the middle ground is difficult to do and gets criticized more harshly because it's not easy to categorize and label. This was an excellent example of a happy drama with substance. I loved this and would like to see more from these actors and this writer.
Hey, thanks for your lovely comment!I'm glad you're enjoying the show, I hope you'll like it as much as I did.
I already finished it of course. It was exactly as you described and I loved every minute. The angst was a hopeful angst if that makes sense. The portrayal of Kim Ji Hyun as a peaceful, genuine and steady person took this to another level for me. His strength was his quiet acceptance of everyone in his world.
Thanks for this review. I've been going back and forth on whether to watch this for the same reasons you listed. I much prefer a lighter approach to serious topics and have a tendency to get depressed with too much angst, but your review sold me on it. On episode 2 now and I'm really loving it.
I very rarely actually laugh out loud when watching a series but this had such subtle, intelligent humor that took me by surprise and I couldn't help but laugh. The energy dynamic between this couple is 🔥. Love everything: OST, writing, pacing, chemistry. Can't say enough good things.
They show that one of the members die due to a car accident and in 2nd episode tae ho says to ho rang it was ho…
Thank you! I was confused by them being on the stage in a contest when the news broke of an idol dying in a crash. I didn't realize one member wasn't with them.
Can someone explain to me the accident that caused them to originally disband? I don't understand that scene. It seems like it should be obvious but I watched it (with eng subs) 3 times and I'm still not getting it. Thank you. (I am really liking this even though I put it on for background noise only and not to actually watch because I thought it would be fluffy nonsense 💞)
