Trillion Game more like Trillion Lame

Gaku's only goal is to be a professional software engineer; Rinrin is just trying to get a job. Haru is the only one of them with ambitions in business and the only one directing the moves of the company throughout the show. Which makes Gaku and Rinrin's screentime feel disproportionate to their actual importance to the plot and had me always questioning their status as main characters and their high positions within the company. The supposed great friendship unifying them was certainly stated many times throughout the show but was never actually felt or believable for me.

The main intrigue of the show is how their company Trillion Game strategically manages to grow their different industries and overcome their adversaries against all odds. But the mood underlying all of it is so combative and cocky, it's hard to ever root for them or want to feel impressed. Haru is just such a sociopathic asshole willing to use any means of deceit, corruption, manipulation, or hacking necessary for ultimately nothing other than gain in wealth and power. I don't care about seeing a bunch of people get rich if there's no great motivation behind it (such as Joey Wheeler wanting to win Duelist Kingdom to be able to pay for the operation that will cure his sister's blindness), or amazing product or service they're trying to launch, so I was never particularly anxious or desiring to see them succeed.

Besides the costume design for Princess Kiri's outfits, I honestly don't think there are any merits to this show. I never thought it was funny, never was interested in the strategic plays, didn't like any of the characters, there were no standout shots or sets, the main musical theme sounds like a song that would be used for a Home Depot ad...

I'd say absolutely do not watch this.
