everyone is saying it's good but omg i was struggling to finish it somehow and finally dropped it yesterday like…
currently only 4 eps in and feeling the same way. jimmy and sea are both good actors but as a couple they don't sell it. they have next to no romantic chemistry. found myself so bored during ep 4 that i watched the last 2 parts in 2x speed and still found myself dying of cringe at puen's advances. honestly idk if i will finish this.
honestly? one of my favourites. deserves so much better. A+ for chemistry, soundtrack, cinematography, aesthetics, friends to lovers, and the cute idiots who are head over heels for each other but too oblivious and insecure to speak up. and yeah i might have had too much whiskey today but ask me when i'm sober and i'll say the same. promise.
little tip though: everything goes to crap after episode 8, so if you don't like unnecessary angst, stop there. i love everything until that point.
i feel like it was written by homophobic historians insisting that the two men who lived together, slept in the same bed, and had a marriage ceremony were just good pals and it was normal to act like that with your buds back in the day
it sounds interesting but i'm hesitant to watch because of the rape tag. can someone give more context?
ok i watched. it's one brief scene and the characters involved are not in a relationship with one another (which is what i was worried about). not graphic but certainly disturbing and violent. it's over quickly tho.
takumi-kun was the first BL i ever watched. getting some sort of ptsd here thinking about how obsessed i used to be as a kid-
