Solid drama. Great FL character. Strong, independent. Very supportive ML. As soon as he figured out his feelings for FL, he became one of the best green flags. Although I didn't feel romantic chemistry between actors playing FL and ML, the characters they played were totally to my liking: loyal and supportive of each other, defying the odds and pathetic emperor. Happy ending was good 👍At times too much patriotic propaganda.

Really good drama. Some comedy, some dramatic moments, impressive special effects. Strong FL. At least a half of the last episode to give a proper ending. I enjoyed it immensely. 10/10 for me.

The first few episodes picture the King as tyrannical. I find it difficult to see development of a romantic relationship with FL in situation where ML is constantly creating an environment where he threatens her with death, tortures. Emotionally abusive. Power imbalance is enormous. I don't know what kind of redemption arc he will go through for our FL to fall in love with him. I don't know if I will continue watching it...

Nice short drama with smart and strong female lead and very supportive and caring male lead. It was good to watch that kind of male lead in a short cdrama. Often we see in short cdramas male leads being abusive and total jerks. Good to see something different for a change. Happy ending!

Not a lot of romance. However, main leads do get two weddings, they have very sweet almost kiss scene in episode 11 and a touching kiss at the end of the drama during their second wedding. In between, some hugs, gazes, and so on.

It is a low budget, lighthearted romance drama. Snow Kong played her character well. This kind of lively and sweet characters suit her very well. It was a good watch.

The amount of beating ML gets in the drama is enormous . I wonder how his body and head were holding up. There are so many fights. The villain is really vile. Overall very entertaining to watch with some romance in the background.

I do not know, I am 4 episodes in and I can't convince myself to like ML. He has personality traits so characteristic in kdrama and cdrama land: rude, unpleasant, arrogant and so on. On the other hand I do like lively character of FL. But at this point I can't root for ML. I guess I will stop watching for now, maybe I will continue later on.

Yes. There is a misunderstanding between ML and FL regarding FL's father, when he was accused of a treason. I don't want to spoil to you too much. It is in the middle section of the drama, lasts several episodes. Misunderstanding is happily resolved for all involved parties within the few episodes. It is the most tense period with ML/FL relationship.

Decent drama. I really enjoyed it. One of those rare historical Chinese dramas where all of good guys/girls characters got their happy endings. No unnecessary and heartbreaking deaths in last episodes. No favorite support characters being killed off in last moments. So it is a happy ending drama for all favorite characters in it. Yeah!!!

I did like the drama a lot. I don't understand the low score and criticism of FL. She played her character well as someone who was emotionally so stable that it was difficult for her to show emotions on both sides of the spectrum. That is how her character was written and the actress did a solid job. I definitely agree that there were multiple scenes that were begging for a kiss and there was none. If she does have a "no kiss" clause in her contract then starring in romance dramas is an odd choice. Regardless of that, I enjoyed the drama a lot. I am actually looking forward to watching more of her dramas.

So far after 7 episodes, ML is a typical archetype of Chinese historical dramas: narcissistic, childish and arrogant in terms of interactions with FL. He treats her more like a pet instead of human. I hate this type of character profile. Obviously at some point FL somehow will develop feelings for him but this type of relationship dynamics I really don't like. I will keep watching to see if he redeems himself...Watched one more episode and I am going to drop it, at least for now. ML is too narcissistic for me. His treatment of FL is annoying. He does treat her as a pet: you are allowed to do this, you can't do that, like the owner of a cat. I guess it is not for me. He is annoyingly condescending especially in contrast with 2ML, who treats our FL with respect, dignity, support. He gives her personal space and respects her agency. 😔
