Finally done! To be honest the last episode was quite emotional. The drama had messy writing, plenty of times there was no proper build up, thing were happening somewhat out of the blue. However, it was fun to watch. For me it was definitely a happy ending with the last few minutes showing what ifs scenario. The score 6.1 is way too low. Also, it was a good opportunity for me to rewatch some episodes from the first season "Princess agents".
Very good drama with nostalgic and melancholic vibes. Great costumes and special effects. Pleasant music. All of the leads did a great job. A lot of romance π₯°.
Never watched princess agent. Just want to ask does the fl love both men? Why did she believe yan xun and not…
Coming back to the first season, l do not think she had really strong romantic feelings for Yan xun. It is obvious she felt physical and emotional/romantic attraction for ML. As for Yan xun, it was mostly him who was pursuing her. For me it was brotherhood kind of feeling from her perspective. There were a lot of misunderstandings in the first season that led tense and rocky relationship with ML.
I am very excited the princess agent second season is finally here. It is disappointing that there is a different cast but the positive is that it picks up exactly where the first season ended. It is difficult to get used to different faces. However, it is manageable for me as it has been a long time since I watched the first season and attachment to actors faded a little bit. Anyway, I am giving it a chance and so far enjoyed the first 5 episodes.
I enjoyed the drama a lot. Nice , sweet, not overly complicated with super supportive and totally green flag ML. Romance was cute and pleasing to the eye. Good watch to release stress. Sweet skinship π. No unnecessary separations and stupid misunderstandings.
Just started watching. The first interactions between ML and FL characters are so typical in cdrama land. While interacting with FL he is weird, aloof and behaves a little bit like a creep. For me he is antipathic. Disappointing.
Maybe I am too easy to be pleased but I enjoyed the drama immensely. Loved the troubled FL character. Good chemistry between leads. Very romantic and hot kisses in the last few episodes (for those who like skinship π).
she was pretty much the real mastermind behind his death. it wasnβt just because she hated his abuse, but also…
So she was kind of like an instigator/pulling the strings from behind the scenes that led Shu Yu's sister and concubine to actually engage in the act of killing?
I did not get one part. ML's biological brother Shu Yu was killed. My understanding is that Shu Yu's wife was somewhat involved in this complicated dynamic in the family that led to Shu Yu's death. I didn't understand what was her part in Shu Yu's death. Can someone explain that to me? βΊοΈ
Overall, it is a solid drama. No worse, no better than many k/c dramas out there. I don't understand criticism of FL character. I did like her character a lot: lost, full of guilt and insecurities. The actress played it well. The first two break ups make sense from her perspective. Of course, like in basically all dramas, communication between characters could prevent all of the struggles but if that happened the drama would be less intense π. I agree with many that the last break up did not make much sense and reconciliation was too short. Naturally, out leads never stopped loving each other, so maybe short reconciliation at the end was just fine. Another thing, the death of their friend at the very end, was so pointless and out of the blue. Why did the authors do it???!! Absolutely nothing to do with story line. Just to add weird and senseless drama. But , at the end, I did like the complicated and romantic relationship between the leads. For me they had good chemistry and shamelessly to admit, FL actress was pretty π. I did enjoy the drama.
Sweet older woman /younger man romance. Michelle Chen was gorgeous as FL. Stunning. ML was so devoted and supportive. If you like that kind of story line ( it is my favorite) then it is for you. Definitely ML was a green flag. Although, especially in the first half of the drama he was at times childish and immature but after all he played a young character. Good chemistry between leading actors. The second female lead was a great addition to the story with her quirky and fiery personality.
It was a fun drama to watch. FL was probably one of the sweetest female characters in all kdrama land. ML was a little bit temperamental but was so supportive and committed to FL. The characters in drama were overdrawn in their portrayal but the interactions between ML and FL made it up for me.
Solid drama. Great FL character. Strong, independent. Very supportive ML. As soon as he figured out his feelings for FL, he became one of the best green flags. Although I didn't feel romantic chemistry between actors playing FL and ML, the characters they played were totally to my liking: loyal and supportive of each other, defying the odds and pathetic emperor. Happy ending was good πAt times too much patriotic propaganda.
Really good drama. Some comedy, some dramatic moments, impressive special effects. Strong FL. At least a half of the last episode to give a proper ending. I enjoyed it immensely. 10/10 for me.
The first few episodes picture the King as tyrannical. I find it difficult to see development of a romantic relationship with FL in situation where ML is constantly creating an environment where he threatens her with death, tortures. Emotionally abusive. Power imbalance is enormous. I don't know what kind of redemption arc he will go through for our FL to fall in love with him. I don't know if I will continue watching it...
