in reality most men probably wouldn't even know about the other and she would have had this choice to work through. I think more men and women experience this than all the straight love with see in dramas. I didn't finish the drama because I had SLS and wanted her to end up with him but I do believe in the choice at her age and what was happening for her
my take is that, if you go back to all the confessions they tell her and run. No one actually wants to stick around her and love her. And she doesn’t actually want to go after their love either. everyone was kind of afraid. but the ML and the reporter friend seem sure in their convictions and so this is a new variable. to stay.

A lot of what you said at the end there doesn’t apply to the drama. No one spoke about clothing that I can remember so it’s feel t like a moot point to make other than to express destain for working women. That’s how it comes across anyway.
A lot of if not most mothers are ‘helicopters’ in the modern world, it just doesn’t get depicted in television too often that they are also the breadwinner.
There is literally the scene in the show where she buys him the watch and he cheers the FL on for her career. Globally it’s still an expectation that even working women are keeping house. Don’t you think that’s hard?!
She is clear that should put Her career ahead of her family it’s literally part of the character arc we witness in the show. Your distain just feels weird and over the top. She provides for her family very well and if it was a man it probably wouldn’t be questioned. Their child had a loving parent at home. A nanny, After school lessons, Hobbies etc she’s was ok. Her dad however used that time away from his Daughter to lie to her and cheat on his wife. I’d rather my mum work.
Also there are some jobs that are not as 9-5 and hold more Weight than other and law is one of them and it seems her child understood that despite Missing her mum. She said she want more honesty from her mum, and her to Come to some things which she does!! But we see clips of the husband making her feel terrible every time she tries and get something wrong! Which all parents will do!!
No one removed blame from her including the character herself but it was clear that the husband was at major fault and within this drama that’s all that matters.
There is also a LOT of social commentary about the work life balance in Korea, expectations of mothers, and women’s experience in marriage and societies view of divorce that are all very relevant when assessing the FL as a whole character.
I feel like we watch to completely different dramas... First of all, they showed us that he had cheered her on in her career and knew what she was like when he met and married her. A man doesn't just get to decide that she must change to make him happy. She wasn't having an emotional affair it was clear she had boundaries and that she loved her husband even the way she speaks of him makes it clear. What her husband did was lie, and made her feel like such an awful mom that it was even harder for her to get better out of the fear he caused. He slept with her secretary when he could have chosen ANYBODY else! he sought out that woman too and flaunted their relationship while married. IF he was unhappy she is grown enough to have left. he didn't need to do all that while his kid was there.
Financially being not as well off as his wife aside. His kid didn't want to be with him. He lied to her, and her mom and broke her trust. And treated the other woman terribly. Why would she want to live with her dad? wasn't her say important? She chose to stay with her mum because she understood her mother loved her and was never planning to intentionally hurt her. not sure the same can be said for her dad.
Anyway, the show was AMAZING and if the strong characters were hard for you, defo think about why because sadly women go through all of what was shown every day and don't have the jobs that the FL did. If she was an amazing mom he probably would have cheated anyway
I think there are certain areas of law, family law being one of them, where it would be really hard to neutralise your strong feelings on certain things and as annoying as she was I liked that they should here journey through that. battling personal ethics is a hard thing for any lawyer. I also think it was there to show us the contract of how result-driven our FL had become. She annoyed me more for her ignorance than her loud ethics if that makes sense.

I think the point is that she not actually sorry. given what she knows, she would do it all again. I think that’s the point. because to her that man killed her son and HE couldn’t even say sorry to her or a picture of her son, he just said how Inconvienent it has been for his business. so yes she may feel bad about the ramifications the son faced. but she also not responsible for the mother. what annoying is she not telling him what his father said and did. like say you’re father told me he wasn’t sorry.
