My Favorite Watch This Year, Thoroughly Entertaining!!!
This is one of those shows that slowly creeps on you, until you realize that you are totally addicted to it!“My Dearest Nemesis” quickly became my Monday fixture and that’s saying a lot; because I’m someone who hates Monday blues. If you need one word to describe this show, then it should be “Cute”. Starring Mun Ka Young & Choi Hyun Wook in lead roles, the storyline is evidently a “Noona romance”. Younger kid falls in love with an older girl who is appalled by their age gap, they have a disastrous breakup, meet again years later and fall in love all over again. The premise seems outdated; it might but the characters are new. I have never met a more chaotic main cast as Baek Su Jeong & Ban Ju Yeon. Both are stubborn, workaholic and yet drawn to each other from Day One. Their past remains a hidden fixture for two-thirds of the show, so they don’t even know that they are reconciling after the bitter breakup they had years ago. While Mun Ka Young strikes the perfect balance between sweet and aggressive, Choi Hyun Wook does his best to act as coy underdog, hiding his true nature. From falling apart due to these very secrets to slowly accepting them and loving him completely, Baek Su Jeong has a lot of growing up to do.

A Beautiful & Emotional Journey
What will you do if you are left stranded on a deserted island for 15 years?tvN’s latest musical sojourn “Castaway Idol” attempts to answer this question in a lighthearted yet emotional manner. Starring Park Eun Bin, Kim Hyo Jin, Chae Jong Hyeop, Cha Hak Yeon, Kim Joo Heon in pivotal roles, the drama chronicles main lead Seo Mok Ha’s (Park Eun Bin) journey to normal life as she returns to the mainland, after being stranded on a deserted island for 15 years. The precociousness of the storyline, coupled with some excellent performances from the leading cast, lends a beautiful vibe to this somber melodrama. I have been religiously following the social media updates by tvN since the drama was announced. The initial posters and the trailers created enough buzz to keep this ship floating. The first two episodes are high on emotions, as we are introduced to the two main characters in this drama- Seo Mok Ha & her classmate, Jung Ki Ho. Now, you won’t find any information about Ki Ho, simply because the character’s current whereabouts are still under wraps. The drama heavily leans on the emotional trauma faced by these two characters as they fight for survival. Now, let’s get to know more about them before we dive headfirst into the storyline!

A Meaningful Journey that is Heartwrenching!!
This is the story of a deposed teenage king, stuck in a village, unaware of his untimely demise!!Set in the 15th century, “The King’s Warden” imbues a story of friendship between a deposed king and a humble village chief. The movie dwells deeper into their relationship as each of them comes to terms with the King’s unlikely death. Park Ji Hoon embodies the sickly, weak teenage King Lee Hong Ui who was later demoted to Prince Nosan and exiled to Cheongnyeongpo, Yeongwol. The small village barely has the necessary facilities to house a deposed monarch. The scheming minister, Han Myeong Hoe sends the deposed King to that small village hoping he will commit suicide. Unbeknownst to him, the villagers rekindle his desire to live and protect his subjects. As he rises in rebellion, Han Myeong Hoe uses this pretext to execute him. As you follow Prince Nosan’s journey with the villagers, you comprehend his kind nature and his protective nature. He is humble and loves spending time with the illiterate villagers, as he teaches him.

Sometimes the Greatest Love Can Turn Vindictive!
What do you do when the person you love is the one you hate the most?Bai Lu returns with another wuxia romance because obviously that is her specialty. We are here to answer the most dreaded question- is her chemistry with new co-star Joseph Zeng worth mentioning. Do they click? Is their romance believable? To answer these questions, yes they click, their romance is unbelievably reckoning and the storyline is unexpectedly phenomenal. I went into this show with zero expectations, because from the trailer it seemed like a tug of war between the main protagonists. My only concern was whether the show will have a happy ending or not. For three quarters of the show, our main leads are engaged in a revenge saga, full of misunderstandings and deception. Our main couple though powerful have major communication issues, they don’t talk or communicate well which leads to ginormous problems of epic proportions. Since they are Gods, their fights have serious consequences. It’s a “Life & Death” battle and our female lead spends a major chunk of time trying to kill her love interest (sounds familiar, that is another characteristic trait in Bai Lu’s shows).
