I will be very mad towards the creator of this drama if they dont make baek taeju as one of the villain.. like…
I really dont want him to be a villain but I can't help the doubt that creeps in that he is and the shoe will drop soon. They need more allies so if he is really one. I want that option lol but at this rate I trust no one.
YES literally one of the most suspenseful, plot twisting, psychological dramas I have yet seen. Thriller all the way through without a single second of regret since I started it!
i know baek taejoo is the one who created the app i just can’t prove it YET
I have been wondering if he is going to become a betrayal plot we were overlooking. I wouldn't normally feel this way but this show has burned me way too many times already with the betrayals that I can't help but doubt him though I dont really want to!
Tae Joo might well be a villains but for fun I will list my doubts:All users. administrators are in older generation…
I have been wondering the same!! Him fixing that hack, plus being so pro L&J. On one hand, it feels too good to be true and I have been waiting for the other shoe to drop about his motives. But I have been thinking he tied into it in someway, even waiting for a potential betrayal through secretly hoping he has a deeper reason to ally with them. Such as himself or someone he loves being trampled by this sick system in the shadows. The plot is constantly twisting and at this point, all bets are off and all possibilities are on the table!
I just binged the entire drama from mid ep 1 where I paused when it first aired, and finished the finale today when it aired. I am soooo glad I waited to binge it because I needed this story ALL AT ONCE! This story was everything! 10/10 Perfect!
The ending was perfect! But the bonus ending scene?!?! Omg omg that melted me. I didnt even need it, didn't even know I wanted it until I saw it. Ahhhh this drama just exceeded my love for it by adding that in there!!
Thank you for saying this!! Agreed!! I do not understand why everyone is losing their minds about the cheating…
Thank you! I am so glad that my point of view came across so well. I am so invested that I probably will keep coming back here to conversate about this one. I think I will start posting in the episodes comment section after each airing, that way it doesn't get lost in the distraced forum. I couldn't agree more, majority of the time thrillers result in morally grey characters and that is part of the excitement in watching them. I love deep psyche diving characters and being able to discuss with everyone.

I’m glad you responded and brought up her additional actions.
For me, the frustration comes from how much the conversation has narrowed around moral judgment, especially her cheating. Morality does matter, but it feels like it’s overshadowing the larger plot. The story is about more than her adultery alone, and I don’t think that one subplot should eclipse everything else the show is trying to do. These are all pieces of a much bigger puzzle.
True, she isn’t just someone who made a bad choice once. She continues to spiral by actively hiding the truth from her husband, stealing evidence, and going to great lengths to cover her tracks. Even when she acknowledges that what she did was a mistake, it feels more like regret over the consequences rather than genuine remorse for the act itself. Those are very valid reasons to dislike her as a character.
I do agree that this complicates the image of these three women as “powerhouse” figures who are above reproach. But I’m starting to wonder if that discomfort is intentional. I don’t fully see the message yet, but it may be that the story is deliberately peeling back the illusion of moral superiority. Another one of our female leads is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her DNA out of the police database, which says a lot about the lengths these women are willing to go to protect themselves and each other. The repeated mentions of the cold case without much detail also make me think this is only the beginning, and that we’re going to learn far more about the darker corners of this seemingly pristine trio.
There’s also a strong sense that she may have done something significant for her friends in the past, given how stressed they all are about the DNA situation, though that’s just speculation for now. I’m only midway through episode three, so I’m reserving final judgment until we see where everything lands. A lot can change between now and the finale, especially in a K-drama.
I’m willing to go along for the ride and accept that these characters aren’t as “good” as they initially appear. If she continues to spiral and eventually faces the consequences of her actions, that feels earned. As for her husband, honestly, he’s already better off without her. She clearly isn’t as invested in the relationship as he is, and that imbalance comes through in their scenes together. It’s unfair to him, and it’s better that the truth comes out before children are involved.
Even if I end up hating her as a character, it won’t stop me from watching. The main plot still has my attention. I often come here to gauge whether a show is worth starting, and I just wanted to be one voice pointing out that there’s more going on here than the single issue being discussed the loudest. No offense intended, and I genuinely appreciate your perspective.

I do not, and did not, defend cheating. I believe you misread or perceived my words that way, but as anyone can see, I never justified her actions. I tend to examine the bigger picture just as closely as I scrutinize the heart of an issue. As a writer with a long-standing interest in psychology, I make it a priority to understand people, whether they are fictional characters or strangers passing by. Understanding why someone acts the way they do is not the same as agreeing with or condoning those actions. I study serial killers in an effort to understand what shaped them; that does not mean I condone murder. Similarly, my attempt to understand why someone cheats does not nullify my morals. Cheating and murder are wrong, full stop, but people still commit them for reasons they justify within their own perceptions. Exploring those reasons helps me understand human behavior more deeply. Is she a bad spouse for cheating? Yes, I agree that she is. Does that make her a bad person in every sense? Not necessarily, though it also doesn’t make her a “good” person. I can acknowledge both her flaws and the good I see in her, despite her poor choices. People are complicated. They are flawed, capable of doing harm, and capable of growth. Some continue making the same mistakes; others learn and change. While people can sometimes be simply good or bad, more often they exist in the gray. How we choose to categorize them is ultimately subjective. You see my perspective as justification, which I firmly reject. That interpretation is yours to make, just as my interpretation is mine. While I respect your right to your viewpoint, it does not make my articulation of mine incorrect. To each their own. I respect your perspective.
