I feel like its Asian culture. Even as an Indian I can relate to this kind of response from parents where they might disapprove of your relationship and you have no choice but break it off. It might come as a culture shock for some people but for me it is like "Ah it's just the normal shit" Like it was a culture shock for me when I got to know how parents are from western countries xD

I think it makes sense... Sometimes people try loving their adopted kids more than their own kids so that the adopted child does not feel left out or well feel adopted. This sometimes becomes a reason for the actual child to hate the adopted one as he/she thinks that that child is getting more love. (IDK if I made sense xD)
But overall loved it!!
