Title Playboyy
Can someone who has seen ep 3 explain this to me.? I don't understand why Zoey gets angry with Teena when they…
I believe his anger was related to the fact that Keena told him that it is okay not to have sex, and that they can stop at any time and not continue, and then it seemed like eventually that was an expectation that was anyways going to happen. Not sure if Zouey wanted to 'test' him or simply got uncomfortable during the prelude. I thnk part of it has to do with Zouey's own insecurity that he think eventually he is going to be abandoned because he's not willing to have penentrative s*x

The Nara stuff was cute, y'all just hate pretty women! I do have to point out that Patts apologizing to Nara was kinda too long of a scene, and it is annoying especially when Tai didn't get an on-screen apology from Patts. If they set up Nara with the female vet, I'd love to see them in a sequel or in season 2.
Title (Saengtai's actor) has chemistry with everyone he's on screen, when he shared scenes with Nara's actress they were giving chemistry again.
I'm sorry but the borrowed kdrama-esque plot of they knew each-other from before the present time was boring, and ate too much screentime. It's probably shoehorned in so that when they resolve the plot with Lomfon, they'll be like: "see it's not just the soulmates thing, we liked each-other before that".
Saengtien is becoming more and more of a boring and 1 note character that I don't care about...
Also, what happened to the plot of the parents divorce? Are they going to address it quickly in episode 11 when they explain the soulmates thing?
We better see some more kiss/love scenes cuz this is getting boring!

No Pat didn't explain it. He obviously was puckering his lips, and he let her "force" him for a very long time.…
I think the kiss-back is just a matter of either bad acting or bad directing job where there should have been more takes of that scene until it looked like Pat didn't kiss her back.
Also, slightly unrelated, but I feel like the script for the latest episode was a bit of a mess (more than usual).

A second season? Maybe talent does sometimes WIN!
It's so funny how this was wrongfully dragged by a certain group of tasteless viewers here, but in the end it got the last laugh by being extremely popular in Japan!

I noticed something about the comments on MDL and on reddit about multiple BLs. Things are either 'uwu warms my heart' or 'problematic' and the only way to describe something or someone is either as a "green flag" or a "red flag", instead of accepting people as complex, imperfect human beings and situations as not white and not black.

Nonetheless, about our show, I would give it a 9.5/10, because I feel like the length of the episodes could have been lengthier, with about 5-8 minutes more. I wanted to spend more time with the characters and their story. :P

My biggest praises go to the cinematographer and the casting director. The shots are beautifully captured and reflect the coldness suggested by the title. The 2 leads pulled me into the story with their mesmerizing visuals and natural charisma. The script leaves them with room to flex their acting muscles outstandingly as they charm us with their particular romantic chemistry. After having watched the show, I can understand why Suzuki and Kyoya accepted these roles.

I would recommend this show to anyone who complains about women being at the helm of BLs (whether as writer or director). With the limited amount of time, the directors and writer still managed to capture the subtleties of gay-male ordinary life in an authentic and realistic manner.

The last point which I want to highlight is the beautiful use of sound and music throughout the show. The last song in episode 6 and the musical score in this episode were particularly remarkable (they were remarkable throughout the entire show, but this latest episode is fresh in my mind).

So basically we got a couple of young Korean singer/dancers assigned to this project by their production company,…
Congrats to the author of this review. Not only is this post entertaining, but it has also convinced me to not waste my time with this show.

I find it so strange how in the opening credits, Fluke is like the 6th of 7th character to appear while in the show so far he's more of a co-lead/2nd lead than Jean's actress who is the alleged female lead. I think the official poster (see the MDL profile picture for the series) does a better job at showing what characters is the story most focused on (Alex and Army in the forefront).

Why does he keep ending up in bad projects?? He's so crazy talented but all his recent shows just haven't been…
How?
Link may not have had the highest viewership but it was a good show with quality acting, great production value and interesting story.
Beyond Evil literally won the Baeksang for Best Drama.
And even before that Crowned Clown was very good and Hotel del Luna is a classic kdrama.

wait, can someone explain how triage connects to this? because i don't understand how it's "compilation"
If you have watched Triage, you will see Dr. Bun & Tan making a small cameo in one of the episodes, and also at the end of Triage you will see a scene of Dr. Bun which is a sort of tease for another potential series called "Transplant" (a MoD season 2 if you will)

I really like the actress for the ML's ex-wife even if I haven't seen her in anything else, but she and SML are the shittiest written characters in this drama. The whole stalker thing was lowkey useless and took too much screentime, and now they introduced the whole *mean comments online, let's expose the secret life of FL for extra drama*
What I wanted from this show:
ML and FL go on a date and stop being awkward with each-other.
ML and ML ex-wife get a resolution of their conflict, ex-wife moves on.
SML fights/tells his family to fck off, he's helped by ML ex wife, they develop a bond over their broken hearts, in ep16 they go on a date.
Gwang Nam and manager funny moments, move from ene/frenemies to crushing on eachother to boyfriends.
ML meets Gwang Nam, have funny interactions.
Mi Ho crosses the street without looking, gets hit by a car and dies, before leaving all her things in a will to Gwang Nam., so that he can live a lavish lifestyle while being a celebrity bodyguard as an excuse to just meet with Jung Hwan.
This show somehow manages to focus too much on the main characters (on SML even too much) without any fulfilling results for us the audience.

"I'd bet 20$ that GN would have no problem with SE mentioning his sexuality in that scenario (as I said it fits…
I agree with the essence of what you said, but from a storytelling perspective, I would ve preferred if it was sprinkled in in a hypothetical previous scene of GN telling SE that he can tell to Jiho that (as I said, I think it would have made sense). Or for her to simply tell him that he does not have to worry about anything going on between her and GN, and him, showing maturity, confidence and love for her to say: 'okay, I believe you". - I think these would have been better storytelling choices that what we've gotten so far.

The only good thing about episode 10 is that Gwang Nam received extended screen time.
I liked that Kang Hae Jin asked GN, before telling Jung Hwan (the manager) about GN's sexuality. That was thoughtful and intelligently written. On the opposite side, what I thought was lazy from a writing perspective was that Sang Eun had to tiptoe around GN's sexuality when speaking about their relationship to Jiho. Obviously GN and SE are best friends for years, it is also observable that GN is deciding to be more open about his sexuality in his life generally. Surely, as they've had many conversations about Jiho and SE's feelings towards him, it could be very probable that they might discuss on what SE could say in case Jiho asks her about their (GN x SE) relationship - I'd bet 20$ that GN would have no problem with SE mentioning his sexuality in that scenario (as I said it fits with the context of GN deciding to be more liberated). Instead of that, we get SE trying to say GN is more like a woman than a man - this felt tacky, a bit homophobic and slightly out of character for an open minded and intelligent woman like SE to say. I know it's a little thing to complain about, but I'm mostly focusing on the good and ignoring the rest of the shitshow.

This show is supposed to be a romantic comedy, yet the only good romantic-comedy thing about this ep. are the Gwang Nam x Jung Hwan scenes (which we should've gotten more of, and earlier in the season tbh). Props to the 2 actors comedic acting and timing. We get romance from Jiho x SE, but it's clouded by forced conflicts, weakly written misunderstandings that are badly inserted into the plot for what is ultimately poor dramatic effect.

I've said it before, but this series should have focused more on doing CORRECTLY the ROMANTIC COMEDY part of it and to make viewers laugh and their heart swell. I would've personally had put more focus on more than the 3 leads we have (GN, JH and the exwife - cut off MiHo and significantly reduce the corporation stuff) and make this a comedy of well written misunderstandings and badly timed circumstances. Like, it's obvious that the end game is SE x Jiho, GN x JH, and most likely exwife x KHJ, why not focus more on the hiccups of those romances instead of badly sensationalized dramatism?

WTF is wrong with the SFL??? I can't stand her, If I were JiHo i would simply say that we have nothing to do anymore…
Ofc the sfl has her own biases due to her regrets about the past and how she handled the relationship with ml. But let's be real for a second, she just heard on the phone the supposed gf of her client - the sml - having a romantic chat with the ml, and she assumed cheating involved. Also, sml - due to his emotional state - gave her little context about the "contract" part, which seems hard to believe for most people anyways, especially if someone briefly delivers this info to you over phone. IMO she acted semi-reasonable.

The mixing of genres in this drama kind of reminds me of Link: Eat, Love, Kill, however the writing here seems so far much weaker, and the direction of the show is all over the place (also the cast chemistry doesn't really compare)
The "I need to shut down the rumors that I'm gay" to me seems like a poor plot device to make the FL and the SML be part of an "entanglement" and drive the love triangle plot forward. I wouldn't be surprised if this somewhat homophobic behavior of the SML will be written out of his character as the show moves forward. I have this HUNCH that his manager is *actually* gay and he'll establish a cute frenemies relationship with GwangNam (1min30 seconds of scenes per episode spread sporadically across the rest eps. of the series) and we'll see them holding hands (no kiss ofc) in one of the last shots of ep16. (Watch them serve a burry ur gays and k!ll off GwangNam to give more *EMOTIONAL DEPTH* to the FL)
So far, there is ZERO signs of the FL even feeling anything reciprocal for the SML. I'm predicting a forced "questioning who she likes" scene(s) in the future.
I don't really care for the backstory of chaebol family drama/doomed past they've cooked up so far with Yoo Mi Ho / Haejin's family. It bores me, and it's not integrated as seamless into the rest of the show as it should be.
IMO this should've been a more straight up romantic comedy from the beginning, with some emotional punches inserted with care here and there and a somewhat happy ending for everyone.
I'm also surprised they haven't pulled the "who's this random guy the FL is always hanging around"/"is he actually her lover she's hiding in plain sight?" misunderstanding where the MLs would make assumptions about GwangNam x FL before they know he's actually gay. That's always a sure bet for good comedy when some characters make off the charts assumptions while we the audience are giggling because we know the tea.

Did you not see Gwang Nam cleaning her room? :) He probably does all or most of the housework.

Can someone that has better audio-visual comprehension skills explain to me the scene in the nightclub?
She goes to dance with her bestie. He goes somewhere after he sees someone, she gets attacked by a slimy guy, fights some guys off, losses her heel and then Mr. Ji Ho appears magically in the nightclub and saves here. How did he know she was there? Then she wakes up from what seems like a dream and speaks with her friend at their house. Was Ji Ho really there or did she get too drunk partying with Gwang Nam and imagined herself being saved by Ji Ho? Given the fact that she was with GN when she woke up, did Ji Ho know of him to let him know to take her home safe? (I feel like it's kind of established that Ji Ho doesn't really know her outside their meetings?!)

I honestly thought this was going to be a simple romantic comedy, but the vibes of the first episode hint to something much deeper than that. I hope in the second episode we get a better look into who the 2 male romantic interests truly are.
Side note: Why did Park Min Young had more screen chemistry with the actor that plays her best friend than with GKP :)) Hope the romantic chemistry will be revealed in the next few episodes.

Hi! I'm currently on episode 3 and not sure if the drama is for me. I love romance and I'm not sure if this one…
There is romance in it, I also want to add to what the previous user said. Also, this show has one of the best "good" endings I've seen in a BL. It takes a bit for the romance to develop, but once it gets there, you'll be amazed.
