PARTNERS FOR JUSTICE TEAM IS BACK WITH ANOTHER ROUND OF ADVENTUROUS RIDE AND IT NEVER DISAPPOINTS!
The Adventures of our Forensic Examiner Dr. Baek Beom and Prosecutor Eun Sol continues in Season 2 with more DIVERSE Cases, GRIPPING Plot for Each Case n INTERESTING Personal Storylines for each of the characters (recurring or newly introduced characters).

A TRULY GENIUS WRITING!
Truly appreciate the Efforts n the Hard Work of Writers to include every detail in a Case to create a Suspense n a Twist in every case in an intelligent manner.
The writers should have a good knowledge of everything in terms of medical / forensic terminology, procedures n the legal points to write a case, right from the step of crime /murder, autopsy, prosecution n punishment (legal charges in the court).
The intertwining of few Cases is very well written n those cases are intertwined with the personal storylines of few characters like Doc Jang, Doc K n bad guys.
Execution of the story is Amazing n Very Well Done!
Direction, Screenplay, Editing, Story progression / Story telling, Cinematography, Production, EVERYTHING IS AMAZING here!!
Forensic Visuals of the Autopsy are AMAZING!
Pacing of each Case n that of the overall drama (personal storylines of the main characters) is Right to the Point n Good.
*** COMPARISON OF SEASONS 1 n 2:
Both the Seasons have their Own Charms✨
LOVED BOTH SEASONS!
Both are A PERFECT BLEND OF FORENSIC SCIENCE n LEGAL DRAMA!
The Differences:
1) Like in S1, if U are expecting S2 to be a Repetition of more interactions of ML (Dr. BB) n FL, more importance Only to them n Everything same as S1 but with just more cases, then U might be disappointed.
The vibe in S2 is different than that in S1.
Here, in the initial eps, ML n FL are given little less importance compared to other characters.
Here, other characters like prosecutor Do Ji Han or Doc Jang are also given equal importance.
So here, U see the stories of Do n Jang too, along with ML n FL.
In later eps, all 4 characters are given equal importance. To be honest, Dr. BB is given more importance, like in S1 .
It's good to see ML n FL are given more importance in S1 (ML with even more importance) n for a change, it's entertaining to see other characters getting importance in S2 other than FL n ML.
Not always the hero n the heroine can be the Only heroes in a story, Sometimes it's good to give a chance to other characters to be a hero too! :)
2) In S1, all cases are different n are individual crimes not related to each other.
Here in S2, 9 out of 12 cases are related or pointed towards the bad guys team during in-depth investigation.
Though these 9 cases look unrelated n individual crimes at first glance, in depth, the investigation leads to the mysterious character Doc K or the bad prosecutor or the organisation for which the bad prosecutors work.
There would be no fun if S2 is exactly same as S1, just with more cases ;)
And so this intertwining of few of the cases is introduced in S2, to include the Personal Storyline of Doc Jang.
Even this story telling is entertaining to watch, just like S1 .
3) In S1, FL n ML have more interactions ALONE. Here in S2, they have very few interactions, alone, without the team members around them.
Loved their interactions, scenes of them without any third character, in S1.
4) There are some romantic tracks added in S2 (not full length, just mild romance), unlike S1 with Zero Romance.
5) Unlike S1, which is ONLY about the criminal cases, here there's a MYSTERY SUSPENSE track related to Doc Jang that is introduced cleverly along with the cases.
Common points:
1) Like in S1, here too, Dr. BB's extensive knowledge n meticulous analysis is the Ultimate Power to solve the twists in any case.
2) Like in S1, there are funny moments here too.
The sarcastic dialogues / arrogant replies of our Grumpy Baek Beom or when the plans of the bad guys team are backfired, it generated more comedy than that in S1, VERY FUNNY!
*** CASES:
There's an one year time gap between the seasons (both in the story n in real life too , haha) n started with the last case that is left halfway in S1 - Oh Man Sang's.
The twists in this case never end, not only in S1 but also continued in S2😂
And our Dr. BB never stops to find the truth in this case, even after an year.
He runs so many tests, making his assistant Sung Ju tired n grumpy, haha.
Here, it's 2 Episodes per one Case.
1) Locked Room case - a female intern is harrassed by her boss.
The twists in this case are interesting.
The way, Dr. BB found out the truth in this case is impressive.
2) Drug Trafficking case - This is Funny. Dr. BB with his team did an autopsy infront of thugs.
Even in the tensed environment with the presence of gangsters n threats from them, our Dr. BB is so cool, taking risks to save his team.
Dr. BB found out that this case is related to Doc K.
The way he solved this case is Amazing .
3) Couple's death at the same time - Suspected everyone involved in this case😂 n the final twist is good.
Dr. BB with his stubborness, insisted to continue with an in-depth analysis n so found out the true twist in this case.
4 to 7) Spree Killing / Red Stockings cases - There are 4 suspected cases. The twist is good.
Related to Doc K n bad guys, came to know only from Dr. BB's deep analysis.
But Dr. BB is very rude and harsh during these cases with Eun Sol, his boss and colleagues :O
(Even myself, who admire him alot, was mad at him for his behaviour, hehe)
He n Eun Sol even fought, spoke rudely in team meetings, OmG! ;/
8) Kidnap case of Forensic lady Investigator Su Yeon's daughter - This is a very emotional case (Director made this very dramatic , haha). Everyone cried, both forensic team n prosecution team who are friends with her except Dr. BB, as expected.
Doc Jang who went to rescue the kid got suspected
Related to Doc K.
Here what I found funny is I was very skeptical about how an autopsy report or a forensic examiner will be of use or take a lead in a kidnap case but the writers have turned this case so well in a smart way to finally conclude that Only Dr. BB, a forensic pathologist can help in this kidnap. God, these writers! (Eye roll)
9) Granny's death case - This is truly an emotional n sad case
A 9 year old boy lives with his retarded dad n granny.
The child actor acted very well .
This looked like a simple murder case in the beginning but the Writers Team never include a simple case in the drama, there should be a twist always!
Dr. BB will be the first one always to reveal any in-depth details and so the surprise twist is revealed here too.
Bad prosecutors Mr. Gal n Mr. No have become complete fools in this case, Very funny .
10) Oh Man Sang's drug case - Finally this guy, this case has ended after two whole seasons, haha.
11, 12) Prosecutor Do's friend's Snake bite case n Celebrity case - Dr. BB is Amazing n at his best to solve these two cases, Very Impressive!!
For the first time, saw him being soft for Mr.Do n for his boss, when they are in trouble (so Dr. BB is of Tsundere personality 🤭)
Snake bite case is the most complicated, emotional n tiring case in this season.
These last 2 cases (last 4 eps of 16) are Tiring, a lot had happened :o
Everyone running desparately - the Good Team trying to find out the truth n collect evidences for Justice n the Bad Team trying to stop them.
Everyone, including the bad guys, worked extra hard in these two cases, haha.
The suspense in these last 4 eps is Nail Biting - Who will lose the job, Do or Gal? How will the truths unveil in these two cases, How the true mystery surrounding Doc Jang n Doc K be revealed, Who n how Mr. Do or Doc Jang survive in the finale n Will the bad guys be punished for their crimes or no etc.
Just watch the drama for the answers! ;)
So finally in all the cases, Dr. BB has the Ultimate Importance in S2 too.
Only he solved the cases with crucial details, with his different thinking, odd n weird methods of performing an autopsy and extensive in-depth autopsy of every minute detail.
*** CHARACTERS n ACTORS:
All actors perfomed very well.
The Dynamics between every character is Good.
(Dynamics include their interactions, relationships, emotional connections etc )
Dr. BB is still grumpy with everyone, haha.
Harsh n rude at times n his autopsy ways have become more bizarre n quirky.
But he is more amazing in this season, Oh My Baek Beom!
As said in My Review of S1:
The way Dr. BB is able to see through his case subjects in an autopsy with his Extensive Knowledge n pinpoint every detail, which are usually missed by other examiners/prosecutors, is very Smart n written in a very intelligent n gripping manner!
Those minor details blow up, set an unexpected turn in the investigation n speed up the case a lot, thereby helping to catch the True Culprit.
THIS IS THE MOST INTERESTING PART OF EVERY CASE THAT I REALLY LOVED.
Dr. BB's ways of conducting autopsy are so unnatural n odd at times like smelling the contents of stomach or any other sort of smelling around dead body, groping the dead body (all these are done for testing n analysis, but are not done by any other forensic examiner). These make him look weird n gross to the people around him, including the examiners.
But he knows exactly what he does, he is smart, thinks out of the box, sees what others can't see in a case, in a dead body in specific n he makes sure of being THOROUGH with the autopsy n thereby finding the true cause of death n the true murderer.
Eun Sol is kind, as usual :)
Do Ji Han n his assistant are very cool .
(Disliked Do, when he was first introduced in S1 for his arrogance but really a lovable character here)
Loved the rapport of Dr. BB n Do Ji Han :) . Both are crazy enough (one is grumpy n another is a doberman), haha.
The suspense related to Doc K n Doc Jang is very well maintained throughout.
U suspect Doc Jang throughout n u can't really tell whether he is good or bad initially (n later u can guess his story, to some extent).
His true Mystery is revealed in ep 12.
Our Suho / Lee Yi Kyung's cameo in finale is a Good Surprise! :)
Missed him in S2 very badly, he was so much Fun to watch in S1
Instead of Stella, it's Sally here.
Missed Suho n Stella romance here :/
Cute prosecutor Kang from S1 is a lawyer in 1st case, just a guest role.
The recurring teams of Dr. BB or Eun Sol are cool here too.
Loved the bonding of everyone (forensic n prosecution teams) in this season :)
*** The ROMANCE Tracks:
(Some of these don't exist, they are just "Vibes"! ;) )
One Side Love track of Sally with Dr. BB (with that age difference :o ). His cold reaction when she proposed him infront of everyone, is very funny.
Su Yeon's kid tried to ship her mom with Doc Jang..that's cute!
Assistants of Eun Sol n Do Ji Han.. their love triangle sort of vibe is very funny.
I would like to ship Eun Sol with Dr. BB (in S1 too, since BB is little tamed n not very grumpy with Eun Sol ONLY🤭) n Eun Sol with Do Ji Han too.
In S1, rooted for Eun Sol and her senior, prosecutor Kang too.
Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any of these in both seasons .
***** SPOILERS *****
*** ENDING :
Last 4 eps looked RUSHED to give a conclusion for this season, could have explored all those details in 5-6 eps, instead of 4.
Our Dr.BB is conducting a test till the very last moment, till the last 5 minutes of the S2 finale ep :O n that made me super anxious about the season's ending (what if a case is left halfway like that in S1) ;)
S2 Ending is Decent n gave a feeling of Closure (maynot be a Peaceful, Satisfying, Full n Clean Closure as expected by everyone but not a Dirty Closure :), also GOOD that it's not a Cliffhanger Ending like that of S1, else I won't be at peace! Haha)
Only Regret here is we didn't get to see a complete ending for the bad guys n justice for good guys.
Though Mr. Do collected the evidences for the crimes of Mr. Gal but didn't get a chance to make them public n so Gal is happy with his job n life, whereas Do is affected badly;(
Bad guys are not punished still.
All these are left unresolved :|
*** S3? :
Like S1, S2 too hinted at the possibility n scope for a Sequel.
The story of Baek Beom n Eun Sol has not yet concluded, leaving the door open for further adventures.
Since this S2 Ending has few points, related to bad guys, unresolved n those paved a way, a base to S3.
Unfortunately S3 didn't happen in 6 years
Poor us, the Viewers! :(
There should be a Sequel/S3/atleast a special episode to conclude the leftover matters of S2.
All Korean Gods, pls, make it happen🙏🏻 :)
***My Guess for S3, if any:
Bad prosecutor Gal would be the Villain in next season.
Mr. Do with his new team, Eun Sol with a new beginning knowing about the corrupted prosecutors in her office n Dr. BB with his team all together would bring justice to Do's friend (Snake bite case) n would expose Mr. Gal's crimes with evidences.
As I expected, there's a third personality of Doc Jang n his story should be explored, cleared of all charges n cured.
*** OST:
BGM suits well to the mood of the drama.
*** MY RATING:
Just finished S2, 10/10
Flawless n No moment of boredom throughout the drama .
(S1 is 9.5/10,
0.5 less just for minor disturbance in ep 1, lil struggled to pass through that, else it's 10/10 too )
Already, am missing our Grumpy Baek Beom n everyone! :/
