A PROMISE OR A CURSE?

As a horror genre lover, I expected a very good horror, reading the summary but I'm a bit disappointed watching this.

***
Story is Good. The theme of the story is based on a Thai dance form, its traditions n the corresponding rituals -- Interesting!

The scenes showing that Thai dance and those rituals are Good.

Almost every scene is a haunting one, haha -- I enjoyed this point since in general, not all horror movies have haunting track elements in every scene.

It got twists n turns at the end.
So there's a Promise, a Curse and a lot of hauntings 👍🏻

***
Direction n Editing are a bit off.
Showing the Past story n the Present one, intertwined (not in a linear manner), either as a haunting or as a memory of the ghost possessing one character or the possessed person viewing the past from a third person perspective (astral projection?) -- That style is good but it got confusing at times -- There's a sequence of haunting within a dream and that within another dream and so on, like a sequence of 4 dreams and hauntings.
Also, there's time travel too ? (at the end, related to the curse).

Pacing of the movie is very slow -- First one hour is just haunting, setting the background to the story and nothing more. So got bored.
Last 30 mins is the actual story of the promise and the reason behind the hauntings.
There are two twists related to the curse in the last 5 mins
(Is this track really needed to the story? Or just added to include the concept of "Karma" and its consequences to complicate and extend the story?)

Even Acting is not very impressive.
FL is cute.

Cinematography is Good.

My Rating is 7/10.
This has great potential -- could be directed well n written much better.

**** SPOILER ****

1)
I have a major question about the ghost in this story (haha):
Why is the 2nd son of the master, the main spirit here, haunting n possessing the FL's son?

The promise is made to the dancers' ancestors, so either their spirits or the helper (related to the curse in the ending twist) should haunt them and make them to come back to that place 🤷🏻‍♀️

2)
Need to watch till the end to get a clear picture of the story but there are few points left out in the end, without any clarification.

For eg, FL's husband, how is he related to the master?
There's a scene in which he addresses him as grandfather but the two sons of the master are unmarried and dead. So is he a family member of the master or just a common man who made a promise to the dancers' guardian spirits there?

There are few more such trivial points unanswered and if explained, could have helped better in understanding this story.

Keeping all such points aside, this is just One-time watch!
The climax is an open ending, huh?
