Wow. Big Brother adaptation. The donghua has been amazing. Hope it lives up to it. A very pretty cast tho. Cant wait.

I started watching coz i loved Ouyang Nana from snowfall. Then got interested in a very unique quirk of this drama. ML's heart aches everytime FL cries. Like literally. I mean wth. Big brain premise setup. What i did not expect tho is how much comedy they milked from this quirk. 🤣🤣 Hope they keep this up til the end. Good thing its only 24 eps. 🤞🤞

I've only watched episode 1 and i think this can stand on its own without relying much on the previous drama. They made sure to be vague when it comes to plot points and lore that come from the previous adaptation. Tho if you want more lore about cao yan bing and xia ling, watch the previous drama coz here, they start off with yanbing already having 7 primordial spirits and xia ling already have a good relationship with xuan yan. These are just from my vague memory of the first drama. Haha hope there will be recent watchers that can enlighten us. XD

Err. Finally watching this again after pausing last year. All i can say is that there is a certain portion of the drama that i struggled to watch coz a lot of episodes were wasted on a conflict that is anchored on the fact that tian yao cant be bothered to explain why he is stabbed yan hui's heart. I mean, no matter how angry or aggrieved you are, if you are stabbing someones heart with no evil intent, the stabbee definitely deserves an explanation first. A quick 'hey, il be borrowing the heart protecting scale. Be back in 3 days so be sure to stay put. Thanks' wouldve saved this drama 5+ episodes. XD

Err. I watched this on a whim coz hboasia recommended ep 1 on yt and now i cant stop. Haha my only worry is Ai Mi. I just watched my journey to you and the double. She died horribly on both. Does she die horribly here as well? I mean on the new timeline?

I went in expecting a typical palace romance drama woth an interesting setup. And im a fan of he xuan lin. All has been good until jiang mingyue happened. T_T OMG. All the chill i had turned to stress. Im at ep 11. I need to pause for a bit for my sanity. Is there a rainbow at the end for the most beautiful bright moon of the jiang family? I dont mind spoilers so pls tell me. T_T

This looks fun. And lots of pretty faces. Cant wait for thhe release. Also yu shu xin and ding yu xi is an interesting pair for a somewhat romcom setup. Had fun watching their romcom works so maybe we have twice the fun here? XD

Hui yeon is a mood. Definitely my fave supporting character. Can she just date eun ho? They're perfect for each other. The chef and the foodie. Hahaha heck i'll even watch a spinoff mini drama about them. XD

Just finished watching ep 38 and i gotta say. Wow. After giving Yingdeng so many W's she just dies like that. Very unsatisfying. Wew.

Also, do the screen writers have beef with flower spirits? OMG!!! These gentle and kind spirits just cant take a break. All of them are so tragically written. First we have Yandan and Zhixi. Then jiangchen. Then yingdeng just massacres the entire huayin village. Come on guys. Dont we have other spirit clans we can massacre? I felt so bad for flower spirits in this drama. I would not even doubt it if by the end they just kill off both yandan and zhixi. #flowerspiritlivesmatter

On the slightly brighter side, i was so happy to see monkey and fox spirit couple from love and redemption come back in this drama. Still a couple. XD hope they have a happy ending here, (fingers crossed) haha

2nd ML is the kindest in this whole drama. I just watched song of the moon and 2nd ML there was also the kindest in that entire drama. So to Yu Mo and He Na, i just wish they also get their happy endings. Coz if there is anyone that deserves hapiness in these dramas, its them. XD

1. Soul shifters run wild and petrify due to lack of energy in the body. When performing alchemy of souls using the soul ejector, it creates a hole in the body where energy is constantly leaking. This is the blue mark that appears on the left shoulder of soul shifters. Thus, they cannot maintain or generate energy for themselves. Once the energy runs out, they petrify unless they absorb soul energy from live humans. It has nothing to do with the resemblance of the body and soul.
2. This is probably a lie master lee told jin ho-gyeong to save naksu's soul. If jin mama knows JBY's soul is alive inside, she will probably find a way to kill naksu's soul.
3. Since s1, JBY has been supressing naksu's energy which is why mu-deok did not run wild. Until Jin Mu used the bells to unleash this energy causing mu-deok to petrify.
After JBY's body was recovered, it was alreary petrified but both JBY and Naksu are alive inside. JBY still has some of naksu's energy sealed inside the body. Master Lee said that he has to to kill JBY's soul to unseal naksu's energy which will be used to heal the petrified body. The body resembling Naksu is only a side effect of this process since it was her energy that was used to heal the pterified body.
After this, master lee suppressed JBY's soul and divine powers along with Naksu's memory to maintain harmony between JBY's body and Naksu's soul. Not sure about the logic but i guess a body will be more accepting of soul with no memories. Thus the rejecting by the body once she regains her memories. I can only assume that the body can read soul memories. If its not the same as the body memories, then reject. Since master lee supressed the soul memories, there is nothing to compare to so body just decided to go with the flow. Hahaha i tried okay? 🤣
4. We might as well wait for tonight's episode for an explanation. I still believe that JBY is a good person and hopefully whatever she has planned does not harm Naksu. I mean she is a powerful priestess on par with Jin Seol-Ran right? Thats gotta stand for something. Hahaha lets have faith in humanity and the writers. 😉

He probably lied to Jin Ho-Gyeong to protrct Naksu's soul. If Jin mama knows that Bu-yeon's soul is alive inside, she will probably hasten the consumption of Naksu's energy to get Bu-Yeon back faster and maor Naksu disappear. 😓 Also, Master Lee probably isn't powerful enough to destroy Bu-Yeon's soul so as he mentioned in ep 2 or 3, he only 'supressed' everything that needs to be suppressed. Ahhh. They will probably explain in the next 3 episodes. Haha Maybe having Bu-Yeon is a blessing in disguise too. With her soul and divine powers awakening, they might have a chance to counter Jin Mu's bells. Waaaa. Can't wait for tonight's ep.

#2 makes sense since Daeho is not found on any maps today. Hahaha

Heo Yun-Ok is getting on my nerves after each episode. She is really catching up to Jin Mu on being my most hated character on the show. Haha I guess 3 years on the friendzone and being ignored by Jang-Uk has caused this character to go on a complete 180. 3 years ago, her like for Jang-Uk was still healthy and she was actually kind and onows how to back down. Now. Errrr. Oh well. I guess Jin Mu needs someone to share the hate of the audiences with. Hahaha
