Anyone else feels like the romance aspect is a little dry? It doesn't really feel "earned." Sure they were something in the past but they all just met each other, what three days ago? Hell one of the ML hated the other on sight just because of who his dad is and now they are kissing and the third is already feeling intense jealousy?
Khemjira dealt with the past lives aspects but even they stopped to think if what they are feeling for each other their actual feelings or part of their past lives. Just because we know the ML pair is gonna happen doesn't mean they can't put in the work to make it believable. Then all these almost kisses...I thought we were done with the 2min lean in just to pull away trope. We only get 10 episodes and its already 4 episodes down and the storyline has barely moved along.
I like what BLs are doing nowadays to branch into other genres and I'm enjoying the show somewhat but I've seen better execution in other shows with the same amount of episodes.
It was a good show/story but the novel was wayyyy better. It did focus on Armin's actual acting skills and portrayed his hardships over time while still focused on his relationship with Tada. This went the way of a lot of other serious plot BL's. It sets up a great plot but as soon as the MLs get together then it becomes more about their relationship and throws plot/logic out the window. I mean from the show's POV it really does just look like Armin is this famous because he has connections and a sugar baby. No one has seen his acting skills since the horrible scene he already had then his "dying" scene after his rebirth. I was actually hoping to see him dress as Akai but that didn't happen. The ML acting was great and the chemistry was there, my worse critique is Pond's kissing. Usually the problem is the opposite in BLs, but I couldn't help but say each time "CLOSE YOUR MOUTH A BIT." Anyways I waited until all the ep were out because I wanted to binge them because I love the novel so much. Again, it was decent enough but I'm also kinda disappointed.
I'm all happy that grandma accepted him but holy crap am I still angry at her. At times the actress acts like she so frail that she needs someone to hold her as she walks everywhere, but then she keeps popping up at the most random places without anyone noticing her and she doesn't see anything?? LIKE HOW?? Every time she saw that boy she saw him crying and sad but somehow she still felt that he was "happy in love?" Then when she caught them, how the hell did she know to go the Sasin's place for any reason because Pin wanted to meet in secret so who the heck knew they were going there? Then when she said she'll help by distracting his father so they can get away...like women where the heck were you?? smh
Then there's Pin, I mean for a while I was on her side because they really should have let her in on the plan sooner because they were making some MAJOR life decisions for her and kept her out of the loop "for her sake" which was a dick move. Then she hit her villain era and for a while it was acceptable to me but I really hated her being so naive and delusional that she could force him to love her, cause all the pain and still think that was the way to his heart...like woman, come on. If anything her constantly being able to make plans, executing them, and successfully tricking people without anyone noticing (looking at you boys that got caught at every angle) that proves they should have had her helping the plans from the get-go.
I do love how everyone that somewhat did some very awful deeds, depending on the severity, got their comeuppance.
i think Khem gave up on living the moment he decided to run away. he didint really think the guys would follow…
Hm. Yeah I can see that can be the reason. But I feel like the worst thing you could do to a love one in cases of these "suicides" is to not give them closure and even make them witness it like they had to do in the vision. He probably didn't leave necessarily believing that he already gave up but as the week went along and she was in his head the entire time then he made the decision. Either way a secret that big, especially to the ones doing everything in their power to help him, did nothing but hinder that help.
Dafaq Khem...You didn't think it was pertinant to tell your friends who are risking their lives for you that the methods they are trying to use wasn't effective enough so they could have IDK done something different!?!? If they knew they could have possibly called in Master or hell found the problem with the shrine beforehand...smh
Ok, Peng is an idiot. I get being a little afraid to be openly gay, especially on an island where the trailer already shows some people hating the fact that they might have a gay chief, but he literally told his friend (ex) that he was dating someone on the island. Then when said someone comes up he still continues to lie? FOR WHAT REASON?? They both know, he's causing problems in his own relationship more than anyone else right now smh.
Feeling left out is not a good enough reason to rat them out. She could have asked them directly beforehand, rather…
I feel like she "ratted them out" because they are not telling her things that, albeit, directly affects her life as well. She was trying the best she could to get some answers because they are leaving her out of some very, very important details. Hell, even afterwards she came to Sasin to give her even a little bit of trust and info and he still gave her nothing. She might not know the whole truth but from what we've seen her witness it just looks like her cousin, that she trusts more than anyone in her life, is just trying to ruin her potential marriage life. She really has no idea what's happening so she can only react with the very little knowledge she does have.
They are so stupid to keep Pin out of the discussion. Fun fact: Women don't like being lied to and/or life long decisions made about them in the sake of "protecting" them. Yes, its gonna hurt her knowing the truth of Saenkaew but they are constantly lying and sneaking behind her back every.freaking.day. Pin must be stronger than everyone gives her credit for because she survived her mother's death and her own father's almost scorn and the "evil stepmother" for years, yet she is still as bright and happy as she can be. She knows that gay people exist and are happy with whomever they love, if they told earlier then so many problems they have now might not have even happened...
