Totally agree with the pace - not even skipping any scenes of the scholars, Prince Duan, Mr Bei and other supporting characters - each role was well-defined, each actor was great in respective role

I also like how they timed the release of the episode to coincide with our Lunar New Year, tomorrow. It is the eve today. Seeing them eating dumplings add cheers to the merriment of our festive season (though I know the dumplings in the drama are for Winter Solstice Festival).

Cheng Lei as CEO / Emperor Dan is so good

this is my first time seeing the FL Wang Chu Ran - she so pretty and really talented. Have seen Cheng Lei in other dramas , usually he is cold or aloof in his previous roles except that one as Jin-an (pardon me, only watched a few of his recent dramas)
- in HDY here, he can just switch his expressions within seconds - for eg, one minute you see him acting a ruthless emperor, next sec you see him comical or confused

I know there are 2 great dramas released in the same week but oh my, I am totally hooked on this one - love the pace, plot and all. Most leads and supporting play their roles well. Dubbing may hurt a bit but I was so focus on their acting and story-line, can be ignored. Can't wait for next episodes!
