Very nice article and I did have to rethink how I thought on this show a bit. That said, I still have a problem…
I honestly didn't pay a lot of attention to the costumes but now that I think about it, I have to agree with you. My main issue with them was how their friendship had a lot of potential but was only used to discuss the men in their lives. Barring that one incident with the guy who was feeling up Mi Seon, that is.
Thank you for this great, thought-provoking piece. More "Overanalyzing" articles please. I am down 24/7/365 for…
This!! Agree with every single thing here. Towards the end, I felt a shorter series of shorter duration would have been much more meaningful. Bcz plot? What is plot? Character development? What is that? Character consistency? (Since these are established characters already) Nope. Romance? Forced. So called life lessons (which we've already seen in S1)? Repetitive. Actual medical scenes? Relatively non existent.
hehe, when it was airing, many people atleast in my friends list did not enjoy it, but at the end everyone suddenly…
I didn't like the ending either. Honestly, they should have gone for fewer episodes or reduced the duration of the episodes and cut romance out of the drama completely. Romance ruined it for me. IkSong was forced, Jun Wan and Ik Sun- meaningless, Winter Garden- muted and stale, Seok Hyung and Min Ha- half cooked. If the season was going to be about romance, they honestly could have put in more efforts in that direction.
Unfortunately, I feel the same way. Actually, as the show went by, critical voices began to appear, so I started…
I'd say several factors went into the rating here on mdl? 1. Popularity and success of S1 (which was good and totally deserving) 2. Many watching S2 right on the heels of S1 and carrying forward the feels of one season into the other. 3. Watching the show as it aired (I've observed that this makes a difference seeing that I've rated the same drama differently when I binged it and when I watched it as it aired) 4. This is just a conjecture but I think a lot of teens and young adults who only just now got into kdramas were quite taken by HP series. It is not bad, truthfully speaking, but it was not good enough to deserve that hype. Not to be disrespectful to them but I think many high ratings come from there. 5. Even while airing the hype around the drama continued to rise- pages aggressively promoted it.

This drama way overhyped in everyway ,, it's not good romantic drama nor a good medical drama either ,, it's kind…
S2 lacked content and it showed in every frame of the drama. A good slice of life turned into a boring and repetitive makjang. If I have to be very critical, I'd say it ruins the charm of S1 too.
Never in a million years did I think Jun Won's character would have been reduced to that of a sappy lovesick shell.…
Agreed! Jun Wan and Ik Sun bombed in the worst way possible for no apparent reason that too (especially considering their age) and they were the ones I've most rooted for in S1. I felt quite disappointed. And also their ending? The less said the better.
I'm actually glad someone came out of the "OMG it's HosPlay2" daze and pointed out how the second season messed up the romance and the characters thereby because of it, even if the article is a bit late. All this needed to be told. Honestly expected better from the writer of the drama.
This was recommended to us but did not like it at all and dropped it.
I came close to doing it many times too. I just kept on going bcz of the leads. The story was bad. And you really aren't missing anything by dropping it.
I went by the ratings and was in for a surprise.
