King has a sudden moment of clarity when he's held at knife point & is told that the tiger he's seeing is a delusion & abdicates the throne. Common ppl get a sudden burst of inspiration on seeing Gil Dong (& his lookalikes in black clothes & masks) appear to distract Im Sang Hyeol from the public hanging of the baby's mother (Gil Dong's friend). So they also rally behind Gil Dong. Queen, crown prince & the court ladies are hurried away from the palace. Meanwhile, the rebels get ready to kill or die. And after this set up, the king abdicates. All the tension for nothing. Im Jae I testifies against his father who gets arrested but Im Sang Hyeol is sent into exile where he kills himseld when Eun Jo decides to forgive him in honour of her father who said every life is precious. There's some drama with Im Sang Hyeol escaping while he's led into exile where he realises Eun Jo is Gil Dong & kidnaps her & takes her to a courtesan house (which is filled with her friends). There he reveals he killed her father when her father decided to become the chief censor. Eun Jo traps him with a paralysing chemical with her knowledge of medicine & is paralysed herself so some time is spent bringing her back to life. Oh and, her brother knew she was Gil Dong all along but pretended not to bcz his role in the family was to pretend to know nothing so that he doesn't become an extra burden on Eun Jo or her mother. Grand prince Dowol becomes the regent & starts to right the wrongs, refuses to marry since he's holding the throne for the crown prince & promises to come for Eun Jo if she would wait for him. In the epilogue, they meet again in the modern era at a museum displaying Eun Jo's shoes.
Soul swap in Moon River was better handled than here both as a plot device & in terms of action. I liked the drama overall but I wouldn't hv liked it as much if it was a binge-watch. Mid parts get a bit stretched & the ending disappointed me.
I saw that many people were upset about the breakup, but I think it made sense because it’s highlighted how…
The problem is the cultural differences are not being expressed as prominently as Rin's character is. Which just makes it a people thing rather than a cultural thing. It is also why most ppl including me find Rin an insufferable character always expecting from Taiga what she herself is not giving him. Your comment explained everything the drama tried to & failed but you see, that's something the drama shd do and is currently unable to.
Bcz the writer has no say in when their article gets published, it is likely that WLGYT did not air when this article was written. Or they may have not seen the drama.
No one could have done Gang and Dal better than KTH and KSJ! Esp when they body swap. Ppl can complain that they didn't like the drama or the action or the body swap. The fact remains that this is one of the best performances of the actors, a well written drama & one of the best sageuks of this year. Not to mention the OST!
New detail Yeon-wol's father and brother were executed, for the conspiracy that kill queen 3 (Kang's mother).…
I think you've caught up on it already but in case you haven't or anyone wants context, it's this: QD has Q1 killed by framing her for adultery bcz of a prophecy that predicts the death of King 1 (QD's son) if his firstborn is a prince.
Well said. Accurate. I was really hooked by the first few episodes & then they messed it up. With the dialogues even- why mention it's a promissory note? That takes away from the plot twist bcz what else is the purpose of such a note & why else would the villain in the show search for it🤷🏻♀️
It's not just her lying though. As the central character, she's so badly written that even when the scene is ABOUT HER, she just does... nothing. Like when she gets caught when 27 is injured or when ML is trying to carve their names on the marriage stone. She just watches the entire proceedings in silence while EVERYONE around her, including Princess Tianji make excuses for her. Idk how concealing her identity meant she shd be mute instead of defending her disguise. Later when her identity is revealed to the Jixing Abyss clan, she challenges them to a fight. And what do they show us? The opponents thrown out of the ring. THAT was the FL's scene. WHY did they NOT show her fighting!? What were the writers thinking? Those 2 episodes felt so ridiculous to me. TBH, I liked the story. It has a good suspense and unexpected plot twists. The novel version must hv been a good hit. BUT all of that vanishes bcz they couldn't develop or maintain theit central character. Idk what the writer and director were thinking🤷🏻♀️
At the risk of sounding racist, I'm asking this question. This is a genuine and non-racist doubt. I have seen the FL in Perfect match only and that too not recently. In some scenes and in a few angles, it does not look like her at all. It looks like they used a double or AI. Specifically I mean to say I am unable to recognise her features. Did anyone else think the same or is it just me? Were a double or AI used in any scenes? Please clarify. I don't usually hv this problem so I'm confused.
You can support villain protagonists lol Light Yagami exists for a reason. Plenty of people liked him over L in…
Why does the fact that it's a tv series apply only when those who are being one-sided are pointed out? Why are ppl who clearly think it's a tv series and not real life to be so serious abt, getting triggered by a generalised statement? If anyone truly believes it's not a big matter since it's a tv show, they wouldn't be triggered by my comment. Which is as valid as the other comments I accused and which are being defended.

That was kind of the point. Supporting the villain doesn't mean exonerating her of her crimes and throwing them on others you don't like. Also, my comment was generalised. I wasn't talking abt anyone specifically. And my objection to glorifying of one character alone was also mentioned- it distracts from what the story is telling. I liked Light and L both and supported them both. The ending was not what I expected but I found it satisfactory. I didn't throw Light's crimes on some other character just bcz I supported Light. There are several others who are also Team Su Yeon but who did not blame Min Cheol, Hae Rin or whoever they felt like. My comment was exclusively abt those who want to put one character up by pulling another down.
It was obvious from the very beginning that CSY craved power and used HMC to have it. Not saying she might not have had love for him but her desire for power foreshadows her every move and overshadows her love for him. If it was not obvious then, it is obvious now. BUT some crazed fans of the ACTRESS here, who can't separate the person from the character and who can't imagine their fav actress being an antagonist, have, from the first episode oversympathised with her character, defended it like their lives depended on it (to the extent of making statements like "I will support her even if she kills her husband" or "she shd kill her husband") and blamed every other character for her wrongdoings. The last episode literally showed CSY (not the actress) get out of the driving seat of the car that knocked over his former lover and ppl are still blindly calling HMC the baddie. Can't separate the actress from the character she plays so much that you don't see what the story is telling?
Min Cheol was in the dark on several things. In a misguided attempt to protect his family, he took some decisions which are backfiring on him. I get ppl who are asking his character to be more proactive but why all the one sided blame on him? At this point, the audience knows more abt Su Yeon than Min Cheol does and he is operating within the limits of what he knows. On discovering suspicious things abt his wife (like the wiretap & the Tae Hun bill issue), he is setting someone on her tail. That is being proactive. Everyone has an agenda and they are acting acc to the knowledge they have. It's stupid to side with a character/actor you like and defend them BY blaming everyone else. Can ppl use their brains and remember that while the audience gets several POVs from Su Yeon to Ji Yu to Min Cheol to Hae Rin to other side characters, each character themselves have only 1 POV known to them?
Extremely unlikely. They implied she hasn't slept with her husband in quite some time and she only slept with…
Your theories mean that Junik knew all along that his mum was suspicious but as is shown in the drama, he didn't know until he opened & saw the nameless drawer. He asked Hanna who she is after getting to know of Stella Young. Who told him to open the said nameless drawer. You are getting ahead & making theories based on conclusions. Just pause, rethink & redo.

No. From what they've shown us, Junik doesn't know. He didn't even suspect Kang Hanna initially. His mother may still have stolen his and Mun Ju's child and given it to Hanna to trap Junik but suspecting Junik knew all along & kept it from his wife (who he knows never recovered from the loss because he gets her peaches in the 1st ep) is a bit of a stretch.
I think we either don't know the whole story, or, considering how selfish and self centered she is acting, she…
Yes I agree. Making decisions by and for herself (like the abortion) would hv been absolutely fine if they weren't married. That's why she's selfish. They were together for a long time. The least she could do to respect that was inform the guy she was getting it aborted. If YSH didn't find the tube, chances are she never would have told him.
