This one is a masterpiece. Was on my watchlist for years, but it was added to Netflix recently so I had no excuse. Each main lead did a fantastic job, and the guest stars from each episode were impeccable.
It's been 6 years since I watched it for the first time and now it's available in Netflix, so I watched it again.
While I prefer the main story of the 2022 ver, this one is full of charisma from Yamapi and the plots of each swindle are far more engaging than of the new version so I would say is worth watching if you like dramas from this era, you won't be disappointed. Bang!
This was one of the first dramas I watched back in 2018, I found myself watching this drama and IWGP every year since then. This time around I watched again with my whole family because it was added to Netflix, which means official subtitles on different languages.
Still makes me laugh even though I memorized lines, most of the jokes and plots. "Kisarazuuuuuuu cats nyaaa!" and "Sasuga Utchie" are phrases that I still use with my friends to this day. Worth watching and rewatching, one of the best dramas from scriptwriter Kudo Kankuro.
The show is good enough, but it doesn't feel like a drama nor Like a Dragon. I really liked what they did with some characters (Nishiki) and how they expanded some plots but with others not so much. I wouldn't recommend it.
The show is not bad, however I find tone deaf the remarks of Pierre Taki's character when another character uses drugs, especially considering he got caught using drugs irl lmao.

Ikr, the actors must be having so much fun!! The musical aspect must have been new for a lot of the actors, but they nailed it! The fansubber has done a fantastical work as well, providing trivia and even translating the karaoke on ep.4. The drama is going to be on Netflix Global in a couple of months, I think it's a huge task to officially translate this kind of drama, lots of context needed that only a fansub can give.
