No. There is no reason for him to survive the future accident. The events of the past did not affect his future. Nothing that happened in the drama was related to his life before the accident and his death.

I would say 90% of jdramas are filmed in a very old-fashioned way. This style of cinematography is a total miss.
This drama definitely benefited from being produced by Amazon and korean Studio Dragon.
Btw have you seen First love Hatsukoi by Netflix? I think you’d like it. It’s incredibly beautiful.

And judging by her words, there was never any love or even romantic feelings in their relationship to begin with. It's unclear why they were even together for so long. She tried to break up with him.
