They only really recognise #1s so drive a craze to be the #1 and/or perfect.
That’s why the figures/ratings etc are soo important to them. It places in a hierarchy which is then used as who should get most respect etc
They start this by making the kids obsess over grade and class ranking in school.
But why I can’t fault the system too much… I work in a place now that grades my performance for the year and pays a bonus based on how well I perform. So I guess it does mirror real life 🤷🏽♀️
