She doesn’t choose to be part of that group but still have to find a way to manage/balance it with being true to herself and what she felt was right.
That is a realistic struggle a lot of us face. For example, those who are not straight but are from a community that doesn’t believe it’s ok to not be.
They have to find a way to be part of the community, but stay safe and be true to themselves.
