Yes, that's what I understand too. They all need to go through exam (tribulation) in order to become God. And if they are already God, they also need to go through tribulation if they want a higher rank in the Heaven realm. I wonder why after 10000 years, there's not even one chosen one to be God? They can become God, but they need to go through some exam, or tribulation. Or if they are the chosen one, they can ascend to God level (has to be go through some tough tribulation I think). But in this story, for 10000 years there are no God.
