I personally will not recommend to my friends who doesn't watch fantasy, because they will watch it with a close mind and logic. You need to open up your mind and be creative when watching xianxia. If you think you can do that, please go ahead and watch. It's a good drama.

Only the ML has the same vibe. LBFAD was a feel good and sweet drama. But TTEOTM is dark and angst. As of now, I think the sweet part is only like 10% of the whole drama? It's not an easy watch for a lot of people, especially those who are expecting an idol drama.

You are right!! For me, YBC is a very boring character and her whole existence is just to be evil, just because a love story need that third leg to be hated by audience, which is very cliche. But I really appreciate the discussions here on MDL (especially from those who read the novel) and this YBC is beginning to intrigue me a little... I cant wait for the next half of this series, she still has the chance to expand her character.
