However, personally for me, I watch all kind of genre, such as Story of Ming Lan which can be considered a slow pace but yet with a strong screenplay and the storyline is down-to-up style, or Yanxi Palace or Rise of Phoenix. I think defining the viewership with ages might be right for some percentage, but not totally. As long as the storyline is attractive, young or old would enjoy watching. My comment dedicated for the storyline, I’m pretty sure, the production design, presentation would be premium, but the story goes too down and deep for a main cast ( a bit depressing) Of course, we cannot judge by first look, we don’t know it might bring surprise. As a fan of Cheng Yi, I really wish this would bring him more success. Even if not, he will gain artistic value in his acting career.

I am not sure it would be a hit like LAR. The story is too heavy. It would become a remarkable portfolio for Chen’s Yi, but in terms of popularity, I am not very comfortable with the storyline.

SF is the most pathetic ML I have ever seen. I stopped watching in Ep 31 because I can’t bare to see him getting hurt, misunderstood, wrong treated. I have searched for novel and read with Google translate help (not bad though).
The live action is way too better than novel (except not much kiss scene Lol). This production team’s editorial work is really impressive that they built up, added new plot twist without destroying the original storyline. They didn’t remove the main scenes instead making them more exciting!
I can’t wait to see XJ remembers all the past and realizes her wrong doings. Then she would look for SF and here the romance scenes would involve. TBH, novel is quite boring in some chapters, that I skipped most of them, only to read SF and XJ parts. Don’t worry, this would be HE (I hope PD Team would not be that cruel on ML and fans).
So let’s be patient till ep 50 and now I am reading spoiled comments, every updated preview clips on YouTube just to calm down my mind for this week.

Getting back the feeling when I watched Three Lives Three World and Ashes of Love. Of course, the universe and concept is different. The trailer, OST, the characters are delivering such heavy feeling but that’s not a bad thing. Highly recommend if you are looking for a premium fantasy costume drama. All the casts fit well with the characters, the costume, effect, production design are well prepared that come out in a high quality that the long wait is finally paid off. I am instantly hooked from episode 1. Love it.

I am here to read all the spoiler comments, because I cannot stand how the story circles around and slow pace in every episode. Even the budget is low, there’s a lot way to improve editorially, plot, Event etc. And the makeup! Omg I really can’t stand when the ML wears Smokey eyes than FL or female casts. The story is ridiculous and so irritating. I agree with all the critic here.

I am here to praise her acting skill. I usually don't check Chinese drama based on the actress. (Sorry I'm too straight LOL)
I'm starting to notice her in Love of a Thousand Years, that I feel like her acting is amusing and very entertaining. Most of her characters are cheerful. Thanks to her team, she always gets into the good series. Now, I become a fan of her. She knows what is her charm side and how to make it work. It is fun/delightful just by watching her alone. Idk her off-duty personality be like, but she seems really lively and proactive too, by checking the BTS and her tin-tok. A shiny way to stardom is waiting for her, Cheers!!!

I’m so glad he is over 30. These days most of the Chinese actors I find charming are around 22 that makes me so desperate for a 26 years old fan ? (just a personal preference). I am going to check all of his work as much as I can reach during this quarantine. In my POV, he is more suitable with modern roles than costume drama so far. I hope there would be a fantastic costume drama, like an ice-cold hearted diety or a charming justice general, that offers a dreamy fairytale look we’ve never seen in him.

@Netizen_Noona I watched on IQYI. It's a youth series, containing two parallel stories, mainly about the youth, the side story is about Wang Anyu and the teacher. Funny is I skipped all the main story scenes, and just watch the scenes about Wang Anyu LOL! I can bet you will instantly fall in love with this character too. Too attractive to resist.

Holy moly... I am here because of DBTTQD, because I can’t wait for new episodes and to check his other projects. It surprised me that he started out his career with a leading role directly and no previous projects so far in 2019. But I accept the fact that he deserved the role. Very mature and giving the adolescent look at the same time. The 13th prince role is really suit with him. I thought he would be around 24 ? All the surprise got me here. Can’t wait to see more of his work ?
