Exactly. When I watch The last immortal I love the actors in it. But I was one of few who hated costumes and the feathers they put on most of cast. It was horrible so was some of CGI. 😭 But I still held on with drama. Even though storyline and writing was not strong it was pleasantly good still. But when I see some say it’s cringe or talk how we just love drama due to the actors are sexy etc. It’s like lol you do want them to be liked for that as well right. Sima Jiao is not your typical Xianxia male lead. He is not the ones that tell you one thing and do another. He’s about action. Which is why we enjoy the drama. The writing did not have many cliche plots like other xianxia dramas. Yes, We got memory loss, stabbing but instantly resolved. We got leads deaths but again instantly resolved. It not take 6-9 episodes to resolve misunderstandings, deaths, memory loss. I think that’s what gets some of the new watchers. This isn’t a typical “Save the world. Save the dasmel” xianxia. Our lead FL is office modern day girl who is lazy, not whiny, not clingy, not useless. (Some would beg differ) but even in her weak moments she to me wasn’t weak) and our ML isn’t the usual uptight immortal righteous God. He’s a killing revengeful docile husband. Who believes in protecting his wife and never letting her lift a finger. How many xianxia dramas we wished a ML would protect his woman full out. Without listening to others etc? I know I’ve seen so many who never put the FL above their beliefs etc. Sima Jiao put Tingyan over his revenge and even balance the two. She even joined in the revenge. I guess some watchers are just use to same old same that they forget how low budget dramas can be good. Spite this drama not getting enough promo it is definitely getting praise and attention. Netizens and Intl fans do love it spite a few who don’t. All in all I think that’s what truly matter. I saw today on Weibo Arthur and TingYan has gotten offer roles for more lead roles in other dramas. So the doors are opening because of this drama and the heat it’s brining. Which is good for us fans of the CP. 😊

if not like it’s fine but to rate it 1.0 did you give it fair chance? You can take break from it and then come back to see if you might like it later. If you still not like it. No harm. Many people love it and that’s all that matter. Not everyone will like it true but there will be many more who do. 😊

Same I think some just want to nitpick because they don’t see hype in the drama. If it’s not to your liking and you have so many nitpicking I say find something you might enjoy more. It’s ok with opinions just as long as it not come off rude and just down mean. I think for a drama that is not getting the respect and promotion Youku gave TIA, TBL etc. It looks amazing. I think this CGI, costumes is way better than TLI and a few other high budget dramas. LTY demon hair reminds me of fish antlers on some fish so maybe went that way. I do see some say it could’ve been the blue like her Weibo studio and her post on page. I do love that look and make up more. But I do feel like the red and black is lovely and give demon monarch. The CGI has gotten better since the first few episodes. Maybe it’s just me to as I love the drama and did not expect to love it more than the overly hype Xianxia dramas that came out.

I’ve been wait for drama when they announce leads but it has been such a good ride for us all. I know this drama will be a rewind for me for years 😭

Yes it is, and same. they did another fav of mines drama early this year dirty. The barcode drama with seven tan. Not promote it. Youku tend to hold dramas in limbo and not promote ones with not major star players in em. But I am proud of cast as each one is some A listers in they right. They came out of this race as the dark horse of China. Everyday is new Weibo hot search of Arthur, Wang Yinglu, drama etc. I’m very pleased Weibo super group for CP is in 1,000 I’m also member lol 😆 and love to chat with other netizens about drama and actors. I really haven’t enjoyed xianxia dramas in years but this one here is special. Will always be the drama that got me out of my xianxia slump. 😊

it is. it has days like any drama where it falls short. but spite not much promo from YOUKU it is in top10 a couple days ago it was number 2&3 spot. It is also 0.4 billion views and even now S+ rated drama. Went from S to S + which is good. Some netizens just wished for more promotion from youku. Which is why I hate dramas on youku some dramas if big name stars are in it they promote wildly. If not too big or just starting out actors are in it. They won’t give it a sec thought. But rest sure it is doing and holding its on. 😊

exactly, I am always staying up to watch new and older episodes back to back. So much because I can’t get over this drama and couple.

Am I only one who rewatch all the episodes available from 1-current everyday? 😂 I normally don’t do that with dramas especially Xianxia. I will skip around and find the sweet moments or good moments but with this drama I start from 1-current which is 28. 😊
