I actually am waiting for this. Everyone is praising Du but her character is giving me WOF 2.0 and so much more. Coming off righteous in the name of love etc. Characters like that who love the ML so passionately and secretly never always turns out to be just purely innocent or for better lack of terms “has his best interest in heart.” She just wants to change her fate but also have what isn’t hers. You had years to confess secretly and developed secretly a love with the ML. Spite your mother issues. But she didn’t. I don’t call it out of fear or duty. She just never thought he would actually fall in love with the FL. So I’m looking forward to her black robes and red lipstick area. Becuase it’s going to be good. I’m sure some won’t change their opinions as the FL has been so poorly written, scolded by everyone that even when Du goes dark. It’ll be “Oh she had her reasons. I can’t blame her. I sympathize with her.”
