First K-Drama Watched
Ok, that's not entirely true. I did watch Squid Games, which it seems half the population of the USA has watched. However, one day (many months after watching the second season of Squid Games) I came upon "My Love From The Star" on Netflix. I decided to give it a shot and how glad I am that I did. I consider this my Gateway drama, as this was the show that opened the world of K-Drama to me and let me step inside. Since I have watched this show I have seen 4 others and have to admit that of those "Crash Landing on You" was my favorite, but only by the smallest of margins over this one. This show enchanted me with its blend of fantasy, humor and heart, and it's where my K-drama journey truly began. You will not be disappointed by this gem of a drama! Was this review helpful to you?
Amazing!!!
Ok, so I am new to K-drama's as I am from America and was only introduced to these jewels about 4 months ago. Since than I have watched 5 different mini-series (that's what we call these kind of multiple episode show's in America) and can say I am blown away on how good these have been. I am writing my first review on my favorite of the 5, which of course is this little gem. The story was a sweeping, cross-border love story that blended heart pounding tension with a deep emotional payoff. This show was far more than just a romance/drama as it gives you a rollercoaster of cultures, loyalties, humor and suspense. It's a story that show's that love can transcend borders, both literally and figuratively. I know that's a little corny, but damn, that was one hell of a production. And the 2 leads were absolutely perfect for their roles as the chemistry between the two was evident from episode 1. The fact that they got married after the show just goes to show how strong that chemistry was not only on the screen, but in real life as well. I only wish I could watch it a second time without knowing any of the details. Was this review helpful to you?
