Someone commented that it wasn’t Sila who slept with Kwan but his bodyguard, the light was switched off so it was dark. Is this true? Anyone watched the original series with Bie as lead?
I’m enjoying this series. First one of Z. Tao I’ve seen. He’s natural. Others say romance is a bit slow. But this has 44 episodes. It’s only 18th episode so far. I prefer slow build up than romance right away.
I enjoyed this part 2 more than part 1. A bit more exciting. And I’ve never seen so many kisses in a Chinese period drama. They’re not bad kisses either.
This was excruciating to watch. The leads had very good chemistry but it was hard to accept how the female lead was treated by the male lead. She was humiliated and belittled over and over again but she just smiled, maybe sulked a bit then she was back to chasing the male lead again. I liked her naive and optimistic view of the world but I think she is indeed stupid for liking a guy who treated her like crap at times. I’ve watched all the versions of this story but this Korean adaptation has probably the worst male lead.
Eek! I loved the Story of Yanxi Palace! I felt sorry for Fu Heng, Xu Kai’s character in that series. I can’t wait to see his character in The Legends and have his own epic love story.
Honestly, I don't understand people who give up on watching dramas because of the sad ending. Guys... Really?…
To each his own. Whatever floats your boat. We’re all different and like different things too. I work in healthcare. I see people die nearly everyday. I’ve seen people in their teens die. I’ve seen women with young kids die. I looked after people who were ok when I left but died when I came back to work the next day. I’ve seen people draw their last breath. The day I watched the 1st episode of Goodbye My Princess, I had a terrible shift. I washed and wrapped the dead body of a patient whom I’ve looked after for a week. She was very nice and was well loved by her family. I still get upset everytime one of my patients die. When I came home I was tired, feeling down and wanted to watch something that will make me smile. Something that I will watch until the end. A few tears or heartbreaks in between isn’t too bad. But I want the main leads to be alive in the end. I watch dramas to be entertained and escape the harsh realities of my job. Is it too much to ask for that? I deal with diseases and deaths in my job. So is it bad not to want to see them all the time in the movies and tv shows I watch? We watch dramas for different reasons. Yes, I do like quality shows and good plot but they have to have happy endings. Why? Because I see too many dead people in my job already and I just want to forget that for a few hours while I watch dramas. Good on you if you don’t focus on the ending of the shows you watch. Just let people like me enjoy the happy endings we don’t often see in real life. :)
I liked the 1st episode. The actors seem to be good. I could see the chemistry already. But unless there is a part 2 with a happy ending, I’m not going to continue watching this. I like my happy endings.
