My opinion: It was just not good.
I was so happy to see these 2 again. But whatever I watched... sorry ... boring, disappoining and
like I said: not good.

I've never watched a 12 hour episode in less then 4 hours than I did with this. They should have given them another script. Yet it's clear they were building the hype around the previous characters from Addicted after all these years.

This was bad written. And the chemistry fell short (though I blamed it on the script because their chemistry was not probably explored. They just gave them unnecessary problems when they started dating and made them fall apart for the whole two episodes only for them to reunite in the last minutes) The first episodes didn't have any hook at all, there was no character depth, they were just butchering on top without giving us a reason on why we should care about them.

The director was not bad. It is the writing.

I get why Han Gyeol felt pressured… for him, up until the previous day, Taichi was his first choice so the transition to Eum Hyeok will be slower as expected. For Eum Hyeok on the other hand, he’s been waiting for this moment since the beginning so he was overly excited. They’re both at different levels in terms of their feelings.

I feel like Su Min and Sun Wook are a better match. if SW chooses HJ I think he will eventually be disappointed. HJ is too nonchalant. they are fun to chase but they give you nothing in a relationship. overtime you get tired of trying to pull their feelings and emotions from them cause they feel nothing and everything is a bother to them. so if your relationship get complicated or strained, they can't be bothered with trying to make it better.

The editors completely manipulated the narrative this season, and I really hate it. Instead of conveying what actually happened during the shooting, they chose to prioritize drama with misleading storylines. The editors heavily focused on Yunjae/Hyunjun so now this sudden pivot to Sunwook/Hyunjun feels inauthentic. Instead of showing the heartfelt moments and development of an endgame couple, they instead decided to edit the show in a misleading way purely for drama. Giving the viewers false hope between Yunjae and Hyunjun for the ENTIRE season. After last season, I thought the PDs would pull back on the drama antics and lean more heavily in showing the actual couples. Season 2 remains the most loved season for a very specific reason. and idk why the editors can't grasp that and create a show with integrity. As a viewer, I would much rather watch the romantic moments and growth of a couple than sit through endless episodes of pointless drama.

In defense of the PDs and their editing, I have a theory as to why we don't see more hyunjun and sunwook content. HJ doesn't talk! He gives one word answers and his only reasons for liking Sun Wook are because Sun Wook likes him. Even Sun Wook is trying to pull any sliver of emotion from him. So the PDs are having to create drama to keep people watching because the end game couple is too boring to hold anyone's attention. SW and HJ just aren't interesting on camera.

At least that's my theory.

Next week if HJ called YJ instead of SW then this is the end, I wish SW stop picking him, and go for Sumin only.…
Hyunjun is obviously going to call Sunwook — the PD is just using Yunjae for clickbait at this point. I hope Sumin calls Yunjae. Even if it’s too late to build something new on the show, they could still start something and continue it outside instead.

I have a lot to say about this show, i have been watching since the 1st season, i know the budget is very low, i believe the staffs numbers are also low. But they can do so much more and cut lot of things.

1. HOUSING: I don't know why they need a huge a*s house to begin with, this block A B C bullsh*t shows that they wanna be "EXchange Jeju setup" type of atmosphere but it's not working for 1 week long stay dating show. Previous seasons housing were good, it might have been within their budget too. But season 4 both 1st shoot and 2nd shoot housing were big, especially the 2nd shooting, it gives less and less time for the participants to interact with others. Bad idea👎

2. WINTER SEASON: They definitely need to start shooting in spring or summer, winter season dating are boring(not BOYFRIEND tho, they used that sauna damn well), they are always under the cover to escape from cold.

3. DATING: i really enjoyed junsungho camper van date(season 2), hyeongjun minseong seoul date(season 4), 5 people bowling date(season 4). Stop making them sit in a restaurant or café to eat or drink, they do all that inside the house anyways, they need to talk, and no activity date as their first date please Taichi and Hangyeol's date was so bad. They should do speed dating, give each contestants 5 to 10 minutes space with each and every other contestants to talk, like in café or park.

4. SELECTION: they have been doing heart arrow random draw since season 1, it's been 4 years they need to stepup the work and give chance to everyone like how they do it in BOYFRIEND(everyone got a chance to run a coffee truck with a person of their choice), here i keep seeing same people going on date again and again, we saw TaichiHangyeol yoga date and HyeongjunMinSeong first date but again Taichi and Hyeonjun got arrows and they chose same people. And others stay home sleep and sh*t. Just let everyone choose who they want and send them to nearby park so they could walk n talk, 1 camera man is enough to capture them, these days people use iPhones to shoot everything, why can't the production think of that.

5. DURATION: 1 week?????, none of my points will be possible if they keep using 1 week format, not everyone will get a chance to go on a date i hope for, even 2 week won't be enough for that, but sometimes feelings change the longer they stay. They had the budget to re-shoot this season, i hope atleast they make it 2 week shooting from next season onwards.

6. ELIMINATION: i don't like this elimination, but i get it why they did that, they are cost cutting from food, travel and date expenses, i believe they won't repeat this in next season. It is because of the re-shoot, again that big a*s house is not needed.

7. JENGA QUESTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE: jenga questions should be more bold, feel like only "coming out" and "family friends reactions" questions were repeated in different format, they should add red/green flag questions, future plan, work, financial stability, what kind of household they grow up in type of questions more, nobody seems to focusing on "what's after the show", they are just focusing on "what am I doing right now", i remember junsungho were worried at some point in season 2, thinking about what's gonna happen after the show. They should do alternative for Jenga or add different kind of question game along with Jenga.

8. INDOOR GAMES or DATES: There are lot of indoor games they can play to get along well, group dates gives us good drama, instead everyone choose to sleep(probably because of the weather?, make it spring or summer shooting please)🥴. Indoor secret dates maybe?, they did this in My Siblings Romance, they had a secret underground hideout where they can talk to their siblings secretly or ask anyone for date privately, they can do that here too. Not sure if the contestants are too shy since this is queer show or the production minimise their actions, everyone seems to be dull like DULL DULL, nobody is proactive in approaching others. I remember in season 2 production team were to trying to stop junsungho from having physical touches, it was on cam too, after a date they came home sungho laid his head on junsung's leg and staff(off cam) made an actions and sungho sat up immediately, at that point in the show they don't need hiding for the thrill of the finale because everyone knows they are the endgame. If the 2 people confirmed their feeling production should let them interact freely.

I don't think that they released HJ and SW first date means anything, neither that they will be the end game nor that they won't. Just like they released HJ and JH first date, it doesn't mean they will be the end game nor that they won't. They released it because they wanted us to know how popular couples and potential couples started. (I apologize for the grammatical mistakes, English is not my first language)

Just think about it logically. Imagine you enter a dating show with genuine intentions to like someone and build a real connection. You only know that it is a reshoot, but you have no idea who liked whom before. On the first day, you develop feelings for someone, and they show interest in you too. There is mutual attraction and hope. But suddenly, on the second day, they shift back toward someone from the previous shoot, simply because that person used a previous date card or relied on their past connection and memories to become proactive.
As a newcomer, you don’t have those past cards, those shared memories, or that prior emotional foundation. If you had those things, you could also be proactive. But how can you compete when you were never given the same opportunity? Naturally, the advantage lies with the person who already had a prior connection. That makes the situation feel deeply unfair. It feels like you are trying blindly for something that was already emotionally invested somewhere else.
When someone suddenly changes their direction on the second day just because of a previous date card or past emotional leverage, it raises questions about fairness. That is exactly why my focus shifted away. Still, I never spread hate or negativity toward anyone.
I feel Whatever is going on it's not happening on fair ground tbh.

Only with participants, because they're the only ones who signed the ndas and currently are under SNs ban. Friends and family usually do not speak about spoilers out of respect and to not get their friend or family member into trouble. First, the chess board photo on valentine's day, now the mutual following of HJ and YJ's bro only few days before next episodes, potentially the most pivotal moment of YJ's journey in HisMan4. This is the safest way YJ has to tell his fans to not give up on him and HJ really. I don't think YJ and his brother would play with that if YJ ended up being rejected by HJ. It would be cruel.

Edit : HJ best friend YeongHee is also now following YJ and his brother.

.3.5 bcuz it was so cold they picked the date for them gave 5 for in general giving him the gift entering his…
My analysis and my point of view are mine, and mine alone. I’m not trying to impose them on anyone nor am I dragging any of the contestants. O the rating, when first asked to rate his date Hyujun gave it a 3.5. Without any further explanation. He raised it to 5 only after Yunjae gave a 5 for the ‘fun’ of his own date. The explanation of the cold also only came after. So to me, and that is my interpretation, it makes his initial rating ring even more true. Now as I’ve said before there is a clear interest from Hyunjun towards Sunwook and vice versa, I’ve never denied that, and all you’ve mentioned (gift, date, chat), confirms that. So if Hyunjun does choose Sunwook in the end it makes sense. But, to me some of their actions, words, and the editorial choices shows Yunjae as a clear contender. Agree or disagree, that’s your prerogative, and right or wrong time will tell as we watch the show.
