Every episode I say to myself, “what the hell is this series about?” but then I find myself getting sucked into it like some telenovela, love me! don’t love me! jealous glances, arm tugging and then as the Koreans say RED SUN and I completely forget what I watched.
I will miss Taichi’s booming voice. KOHEI! I love how Taichi rolled into Kohei’s life, brought him out of isolation, made him laugh and fall in love. What a beautiful series.
This show reminds me of Unforgotten Night in its campy-ness. I can’t take it seriously. It’s early days so I will have to see how it goes. So far I like it. It’s just the right amount of trash. The soundtrack is hella annoying though. Is it me or is it about 25 per cent louder than the dialogue?. It would be fine if it were good but it’s 80s synth. it in a good Depeche Mode, New Order kinda way.
It was a bad sign that I fast forwarded a part of the first episode. I’m hoping it gets better and is less predictable. Leng is quite nice to look at in the meantime.
This series was a hot mess but the last episode and the chair NC scene was the only time I didn’t watch on 2.5 speed. It was masterfully executed. Granted I had to ignore Bank’s hideous outfit but the rest was awesome. 👏
Psychiatrists should study us and the reason why we keep watching this to suffer. 😎
So true. There is an old English saying “in for a penny, in for a pound” which aptly describes my commitment to finishing a series even if it’s pretty horrible like this one. Occasionally there is a scene where I say to myself “ that’s not so bad” which justifies watching it.
