As soon as this was available I binged it watched all episodes. It had a similar vibe to the Eighth Sense but was missing the reasons for Ban Don Wook’s insomnia (I guess you don’t need a reason). Another refreshing thing was no bitchy ex-girlfriend trope. The female coach is a positive and supportive character throughout. I liked the main couple so much I was worried the series would end up like A Shoulder to Cry (god i hated that bromance) with zero kissing, etc. On the hot meter it’s not Venus in the Sky or Love in the Air for NC scenes but it’s a pleasant romance with a good ending. No spoilers.
I got burned by bump up business and starstruck , is this good?
Yep. There are some empty parts of the story which you will figure out but i found it to be a complete story with a good ending and good romantic scenes between the min couple.
As soon as the series became available on Viki I binged watched it and midway through I questioned why am I watching this? I loved Matsumura’s performance in My Personal Weatherman but this character I just couldn’t get into. So wishy washy, weak, and indecisive I didn’t feel for her. And the ending. Why do they end series like this? with the credits rolling you get one minute of happiness- it’s so anti climactic and unfulfilling. The series was a miss for me and I had high hopes.
True to form, I button mashed the last episode much like I did throughout the series, particularly when Mew and Top were on screen. God I hate Top. What I will miss most is the comments section. I laughed so much. There is nothing like a campy series to bring out the best in people. On to the next!
I am going to rename this series SLOW REDEMPTION because it takes the characters 10 long episodes to be redeemed. Finally Boston shows the characteristics of a decent person, Ray is about to settle down, Top is remorseful … and of course they throw a shit disturber former ex-Boeing into the mix now (these names!) onto another week!
I agree with the review. It wasn’t expecting much and was pretty impressed by Nine and Mill. It was clear they chose the best actors in the group. I hope they get more chances to act.
I saw the series post to iQIYI and I immediately binged watched it. Woojung and Mill had great chemistry to be expected from group members. The ending was so rushed and abrupt I had to circle back and see if i actually missed something. I am disappointed weren’t mature/brave/whatever to have at least see them kiss in the end. The rest of it was so so.
