I tried to like this one. I thought the actors’ chemistry was amazing, but there doesn’t feel like there was…
You nailed it. There was no real resolution, no profound declaration of love, no major story arc so you feel pretty meh about the whole thing. As much as they had excellent chemistry the NC scenes were to short. Not to be pervy, but it was likely they kissed and then tada! morning!
I loved this series initially and found it strangely addictive but as it progressed I lost something for me, mainly because I found Yoh’s character frustrating. I kept waiting for him to say outwardly that he had always loved Segasaki in a detailed way. I guess he does in his own mumbled way but I still found it too understated. I also found his inner dialogue so confusing - I kept thinking that he was actually saying his word outright but he wasn’t he was just monologuing. I think I loved Manju and her husband the best.
As Khondiao services Yi on the couch I can only think to myself “I can’t over Yi’s black socks” and how they are ruining the vibe. Also something about the music was off to me. But I give it to the Director. This couple’s best moments take place on a couch. If you remember Cutie Pie they did it well.
To me, at this point, there's really no need for some back story for Boston to explain his behaviour. The others…
You are a gentle viewer :) You are sensing my frustration because in good storytelling a character should have had some sort of redemption by now but nope he’s still doing the same crap he was in episode one. This makes him one dimensional. that’s what is really wrong with the series. You can’t really get behind (pardon the pun) anyone. 🤣 Sand is about to go dark and Mew is up next after witnessing Ray’s betrayal.
