I don't know what would be worse: Being able to watch the rest of the show in 1 day and being depressed afterwards or having to patiently wait everyday for an episode so I have something to look forward too. If you're talking in a literal sense you can keep your hands in flames forever until they burn off or the nerves get destroyed than you won't feel it. Some people never overcome grief of family and friends because it is mental. You're acting like they forced him to self isolate so that he wouldn't have more guilt of killing more people. You're also acting like they were on vacation in the Bahamas sipping coconuts and sunbathing. Two got arrested, all of them were trying to revive the tolken so they wouldn't have to kill ZYZ, and one lietrally found out his mom turned into a tree. Sorry if you process grief quickly but some people are okay for the most parts but have times that are tough and go back to those emotions. Did you want the team to offer themselves on a silver platter before they figure out how to unpossess ZYZ so that when he wakes up to his lover amd friends dead feel even more terrible?

If you're in a fight with a thousand year old demon shaped like the most precious person in your life of course you're not going to go all out and kill him. And you even mentioned his sword was broken and last time I heard everyone in that world is saying two things over and over again 1) ONLY descendants of the Bingyi clan can use the sword to kill the most powerful demon and 2) ONLY the LIGHT CLOUD SWORD can kill Zhu Yan so the fact he could even face LiLun for a bit without the sword is amazing enough.
