I recommend you only watch the first case. It has some good cp moments! However the MC is a completely different personality compared to MRIAD. The rest is not worth the time imo.

I guess both? I just mean that writers often feel the need to insert a het romance for the main characters, even when it doesn't make sense. So audiences are punished with bad writing haha

I definitely don't dislike Bai Youning as much as most people, but certainly she is more like a sister to Lu Yao rather than a love interest. The hetero agenda can be such a punish...
