Title Past-Senger
I really had a soft spot for this show, as a nostalgic guy i'm often touched by time travel stories... They could've ended this with class at ep.9 (I was sure it would be the last, as ep.8 was for farewell and all). Turned out ep9 and 10 were sooo bad, such a wast.

The nightmare stuff would’ve make sense in the drama. It would’ve explained why this last episode looked so illogical and irrational (like a dream) and the scary Xi Yu doppelganger haha

That student was just a doppelganger unfortunately and Hao Ting only hanged with him because he looks like his…
Ah, thank you very much ! I suspected that but i was not sure at all, I was very confused and was thinking "no, they didn't dare, he is alive of course" xD. At least we had a little preview of Yu Xi with fashion clothes haha

Your review discribes what a think. A sad ending is not necessarily a bad one to me.
Seeing Hao Ting and Yi Xu's farrewells with Yi Xu lasts words "dont forget to enjoy of each day, I understood this so much late", insisting on how Yi Xu was surrounded (lover, friends, step familly...) and not alone anymore, showing that he was finally living his best life after all hardships... All this would've been so outstanding and beautiful .

The way they actually did it is pretty unnaceptable.

If Yu Xi is ded, who is the one Hao Ting is hanging with in the cofee while his sister is observing them from outside ? Was it a flashback ?

Overall, the show was good. I can kinda understand the scenaristic choice of killing one of the main protagonists, especially since it gives the title all its meaning. But did they have to do it like this ? Seeing Yu Xi dying in his hospital bed while saying goodbye to his lover, telling him the importance of enjoying every moment of his life, maybe showing Yu Xi funerals with all Hao Ting friends and familly attending to it (meaning Yu Xi was no longer alone until the end)… Instead of that, it’s barely if we understand that someone is ded.

One world “garbage” is suitable to describe the last episode. Once again I don’t criticize the choice itself but the way they made. This “bad” ending could’ve have been so beautiful too, instead it was quite trash. I got generous with a “3”.
