While it's true this drama isn't very thrilling, it would be very wrong to say that it's boring!

The story is about a remote mountain clinic, which is pretty remarkable in and of itself! Off the top of my head, I can only think of 2 other dramas like this one and all of them are superb, well created and well shot, not to mention well scripted and well acted!

Each episode is different, but every single tiny little bit of each episode combines into one complete perfect story! This show is a medical story about life at an isolated clinic, so do not expect high action drama or romance side stories, though, there is a bit of drama and romance; however, it is very well balanced to not be too "overbearing" (for lack of a better word) in this exciting, medical, and true real life story.

Please do not lose interest in this show because it feels boring or because an actor/actress is "wasted" on this show, or because other people's opinions (hypocritical I know). This story and any other drama/movie/special that you want to watch should be YOUR choice and not influenced or made by anyone else! This show is an underrated gem and it is worth a chance.

Because of the cast and the medical, slice-of-life story this show is fantastic, and a definite must watch! I definitely did not expect the ending...

This drama is something that speaks to every single person. The story and the characters showed how real, heartbreaking, honest, genuine, bittersweet, difficult, raw, and different life can and will be for each and every individual.

The story itself is very unique and each back story for each letter and the focus on the Sawano family and Okae-chan was a little unbalanced at times, but this show was so beautifully shot which allowed each moment to be captured successfully without leaving anything or anyone behind. And each emotion within this five-episode show captures each illness in a very significant and poignant way, showing a face to each person with a real illness, or the family and friends or the professional doctors or other patients the illness affects..

There is a wonderful life lesson in this show and each moment in this story was something real I believe we all can relate to.

This is a very charming, very sweet story! I wanted to watch this mostly because of Odagiri Joe, who does not disappoint in this show in the least (his personality and genuine pride in his work definitely show!), but the more I watched the more I was drawn in by the story of each cheer-dance team member and the town around them.

This story really shows off the definition of hard work and dreams, not to mention high school and friendship. This show is really amazing; each member was very strong, talented, and beautiful to watch throughout each episode. I wouldn't call it a slice-of-life drama specifically, but it does fit within that category; to me, this show was more of a "coming of age" story. This story is basically the story of life; hard work, friendships, families, hopes and dreams, loves and heartbreaks, strength and determination... You know, life!

I do believe that this show is a very underrated gem and a definite jumping-off point for anyone's new love of Odagiri Joe, or his current fans, too; I really believe that he really filled out this story and made it (at least) half of what it is.

This is one of the best dramas I've seen in a while! It includes pretty much every genre: family, slice-of-life, romance, drama, mystery, humor; not to mention the script is one in a million!

I've never seen a story quite so unique, honest, and thrilling to watch like this series was. In fact, though this is just my personal opinion, it possibly could have had more than 10 episodes with maybe a little more (main) character backstory, however, I think that because it did not delve so deep is what really made the stories of each episode so full of life.

There was a lot of laughter in this series, but the feelings of sadness, worry, anxiety, anger, panic, and love come across the screen well from every single actor and actress involved in this series; babies included! This is definitely not a show to be missed.

One of the most entertaining, nonsensical, intriguing, hilarious, unique, mysterious, dramatical dramas I have ever seen! The cast is amazing with each and every story, joke, and witty-one-liners and comebacks. I always laughed with each episode and I loved watching the way Kiriyama and Mikazuki worked together to solve each baffling case! I cannot wait for the third season to come out later this year in December (of 2019). After watching Odagiri Joe in several serious type dramas, it was nice to see his funny side! Also, Kumiko Aso was amazing in "Yowakutemo Katemasu" but at first I barely recognized her in this series, however after realizing it was her, I thought she and Odagiri Joe made an amazing detective pair (in and out of the office) for Kiriyama-kun's odd hobby. Each episode's case was something I could never figure out, from beginning to end, and at times it felt like I was watching a stage play of hilarious, strange antics between the cast members but let me tell you... That only made the show more mesmerizing and intriguing and amazing to watch!!

This show was a random choice for me. I'm not much into sports anime(s), let alone live-action sports dramas. I just can't seem to focus my attention on them. However, this show seemed to have some "magical" draw to it that I can't really put my finger on.

Whether it was the actors, the story, or the drama that played out I couldn't tell you specifically. I have to be honest, though... I did want to stop watching after the first episode. Yet somewhere this show hooked me from episode 1, too. I can't say it was the story that got my attention; because it was definitely the actors. Each one held my attention so strongly with their spirited attitudes, cheeky personalities, and their fierce passion. I definitely laughed a lot thanks to the men in this show!

However, as I continued watching, I felt more like I was dropped into the middle of a 10 episode show instead of just an 8 episode show. I feel like the actors carried this show very well, the story was definitely not your typical "sports dramatics" either, and I definitely believe this show has a strong spirit of its own. It could have absolutely gone for a couple of more episodes. It is hard to get people into swimming shows/movies/animes of any kind, I think; maybe because swimming is so fun or maybe because just watching swimming is boring... Who knows?

This is a good show to watch if you're in a rut or just starting out with Japanese dramas. This show is very captivating and very well made until the end.

This drama is way underrated! I wish the ending never came it was such an amazing show and wonderful story! The cast was perfect, it was really nice seeing a new side to a few actors/actresses I already knew. While the show does have a heavy focus on romance, it isn't too much that it would fall in the "romance genre" specifically; though it does fall in the romance genre, it's very well balanced by comedy and slice-of-life and suspense! Not to menton the amazing and extremely accurate information about Marine life that is not boring, easy to understand, and shown with great talent through the entire series!

I wish they expanded more on the series, making it 10 episodes or having a special would have been nice! Kiritani Kenta was one of the main reasons I watched this series, however it was surprising at how well everyone came together to teach and support each other. This is a good drama for a watching slump when you don't know what to watch, or for someone starting out in Japanese dramas. Definitely give this show a chance!

Let me start by saying I originally started this series because of Kubota Masataka, however, the rest of the cast wonderfully betrayed my first expectations!

I don't recall seeing such a wonderful cast of diverse talents working together so well. Everyone fit together within their scenes it felt like I was watching a documentary or reality television stories of forensic pathology instead of a scripted television drama. From the emotions, characters, plotline(s), forensic/medical terminology... Not one point was lost or disappeared within the fast pace of the show. I do feel like they could have stretched it out, maybe 15 episodes or even a season two instead of completely ending the show.

It was really nice to discover new actors to follow and to see some familiar actors in roles I'm not used to seeing them play; this show was quite the adventure! I binged this series all in one day (it's currently 2:00am where i am lol)

The twists and turns within this show are amazingly portrayed. Each time I thought I had something pegged or knew some medical information, I was completely blown off my feet and learned something new. I sympathized a lot with a few of the stories and characters, too. The cast and director and writer(s) made this show perfectly human.

I would absolutely recommend this show to anyone who is a fan of thrillers, suspense, detective, comedy, slice-of-life, medical dramas. Of course, people like me who aren't so good with scary things could like this show too! It isn't as scary as I thought it would be at first; quite the opposite... I really learned a lot, and I absolutely fell in love with this show!

This is one of the most nonsensical dramas I have ever seen. I laughed and worried and fell for each slapstick joke regular in "Japanese culture". Did that last bit make sense?

(If not, I meant: "Something that the Japanese humor finds funny that we in other countries don't necessarily." Does that make sense?)

Anyways... through each episode, I could never figure out who the criminal was ahead of time, the wit and jokes are pitch perfect for each cast member; not to mention the chemistry between each cast member was superb! There are a few twists and turns in this series and some are hilarious, while some are ridiculous, and some you'll never see coming! I've never liked a show this much, this quickly before.

I think this show had a wonderful cast, very interesting music, and a great story! If you aren't looking for something typical to the police/detective/crime/mystery drama then this may not be for you. However, if you are looking for some comedy with an actual storyline that is unique and completely original, then I absolutely recommend this show!

I wanted to watch this show for the longest time, partly because of the synopsis and partly because of the amazing cast; however, because I've left this show on the back burner far too long, I completely forgot who the cast was! After realizing two of the main characters looked ridiculously familiar, I researched and found out it was Eita and Morita Go! Which renewed my faith in the entire show by episode 3; they are two of my favorite actors, so it made me happy!

This show had enough suspense, comedy, action, romance, sadness, scares, and plot twists to keep me on the edge of my seat for days! I have never fallen in love with a detective drama as quickly as I have this one. There was one episode that made me sob, one that had me terrified, and every episode made me laugh out loud! There was a lot of feeling packed into each episode; lots and lots of different feelings packed into every episode. I'm not one for romance dramas, I believe I've actually only ever seen one or two from start to finish, but this show does romance very well, very tasteful!

I hope this show gets a second season, it really deserves it. The music is fantastic; the script is wonderfully written for a manga to live action adaptation; the casting is perfection. Nothing felt too rushed or confusing; each piece of an episode fit in well with the whole series. If you want to follow Eita or Morita Go or any other actor/actress from this series, this is a good place to start, but do not let the cast be the only reason you watch this drama! Each person fulfills their role(s) perfectly well; the relationship between each character is close and reliable.

This is definitely not a show to be missed! I would absolutely suggest watching this show if you like detective dramas, manga adaptations, comedies, and Japan, too!

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS PROCEED WITH CAUTION

I have never in my life watched something so absurd and ridiculous! If you need a good laugh but still want something sentimental and thrilling, this is absolutely the show for you!

I wanted to watch this drama mostly for Kubota Masataka, then I realized I was watching season two and completely missed the first season; although, that wasn't such a bad thing, because I could still get the general gist of the show. I have never laughed so hard in my life, from every single episode; I laughed and cried and was on the edge of my seat through the entire season.

The cast was fantastic, they worked well together to form a police department and a family. The more I watched, the more I fell in love with a few new actors, and soon enough, the entire cast! I recognized a few I already knew, but this drama introduced me to a few new people I've never met before, so I'm glad I started watching for Kubota Masataka and fell in love with the rest of the casting! I feel like if they expanded a bit on a couple of the season 2 episodes, the show could have possibly lasted for 12 episodes.

I had little to no idea what was going on with each plot; especially episode 7 until episode 10! Some episodes are absolutely insane and some fit right in with the "cop/detective/crime drama" genre. If you seriously want a laugh and not a serious crime drama, then watch this show; but if you're looking for something more dark, mysterious, and true-to-life for a detective show then this may not be the show for you. I have to say though, this is one of the best dramas I have watched in 2018!

I watched this show on a whim and was extremely surprised! The cast was new to me, besides 3 or 4 people and the rest was a delightful surprise; after some research, I found actors that I really love were guests in this drama and I found some new actors to follow, as well! The story build up was a little slow, but it all flowed together pretty well; the usual cases of a police officer meshed together with the high climax episodes to fill in a wonderful script. This show had me glued to my laptop for an entire day! Each character played out well and every episode fit the completed story well. I didn't expect to like the drama as much as I did, to be honest, the summary sort of lacked a bit of draw in for me so I ended up watching this on a whim because I recognized one actor... But I am so glad I did!

Definitely a great Abe Hiroshi and Kagawa Teruyuki show! This is an interesting take on the Ukrainian version, too; a lot more compact, yet filled with a lot of emotion. This is a great detective, mystery, suspense drama if you are just starting out with Japanese dramas; not too many episodes, detailed enough to hold your attention, not too jam packed with unnecessary things, no cliffhangers left unsettled, great cast and script, plus much, much more to draw you in! There were a few instances that seemed a little less dramatic than they should have been, but as the episode and series in its entirety plays out, all the pieces seem to fall in to place rather quickly and neatly. The guest stars for each episode blended in really well with the original cast; there was one episode where I thought I knew the culprit but was COMPLETELY wrong!! The only issue I had was there were too few episodes, so I really cannot wait until the special comes out sometime this year! I hope some more people will give this drama a chance! Definitely a great story to watch!

I began watching this drama for two special (people) reasons!

1.) Oguri Shun
2.) Narimiya Hiroki

These two men are my absolute favorite actors; they completely immerse themselves in to their characters and play them out superbly! It was good to see Narimiya Hiroki in a different light than I usually do; as Hanabishi Masaru he plays a very charismatic-troubled-caring vet who throughout the show the viewers get to watch grow as a vet and a person. The same goes for Oguri Shun's character, Tottori Kenichi; yes he is a foul-mouthed vet, but as his skills go, they're perfect. I can't help but feel that Tottori and Hanabishi balanced each other out perfectly throughout this entire show without being too sappy, dramatic, or drastic. Oguri Shun and Narimiya Hiroki were a fantastic pair to be the lead actors for this show because they both have such different characteristics, personalities, and unique qualities that lead them to be the talented actor and human being that they are. Although I watched this drama because I'm their fan, that isn't the specific reason I watched (just the biased reason).....

I watched this drama because I like animals, I like to learn what's going on as I watch, and I like the hospital/medical type genre as well; just to name a few! This show is gut wrenching, heart breaking, surprising, terrifying, uplifting, sweet, kind, and sometimes I even got angry and ridiculously scared. I seriously recommend watching this with a box of tissues and steeled nerves! This show is fantastic, the music is wonderful, the script is amazingly written; there isn't a dull moment in the entire show!

To be honest... I only started to watch this drama because a few of my biased actors are in the cast. Kamiki Ryunosuke, Chiba Yudai, and... Narimiya Hiroki! Ever since I watched the movie "Drop", I've been in love. Narimiya's talent, skill, personality, looks, mindset, and his voice (yes his voice) completely drew me in! ....ahem!! anyways...

Yamada Ryosuke is pretty fantastic in this series, too! The script is written really well, and Yamada plays with a fantastic, witty, ingenious personality! It was good to see Kawaguchi Haruna, Arioka Daiki, and Asari Yosuke, too! The script may have been my favorite part of this series because the writers and the actors seemed to show their own personal talents and most definitely worked well together! This may not be a good drama for first time watchers, mostly because this is the end (i think) of the Kindaichi detective/crime/mystery serial series so they may miss out on some background info... BUT!!! I watched the special "Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo Gokumon Juku Satsujin Jiken" and got through this series just fine!!

p.s.: i know theres another drama before the one specified above, but.... i didnt watch that one... sorry!
