Around episode 4, Thi was getting on my nerves and there was a moment when I had to ask myself: "Do I really wanna keep watching this?". However, by episode 6, I was hooked again. It has some pacing issues, but it wasn't really that bad. Noey's character is quite entertaining. He's complex, but straightforward. He's a gangster, but he's also sweet. He's sometimes a cool guy, but he's cheesy the most time. He's underage biologically, but he's an old soul. Actually, at times it was hard to believe that he was "the kid" and Thi was "the adult". It was a nice show overall. Not amazing, but good enough.
Not better than season one, that's for sure. The separation was WAY too forced, unnecessary and unrealistic in this day and age. And overall, there's lots of plot holes and inconsistencies: a) "Your dad intercepted my e-mails" is not a real cause for someone to disappear. If my BF doesn't reply in 3 days, I simply contact our mutual friends. Period. b) E-mail, text, phone calls, video calls, social media accounts. If you are going abroad for 2 or 3 months, I'm pretty sure ANY couple would establish more than one way to contact each other. The show is from 2021, not 1998. c) If your mom had a baby and you have to help with her company, wouldn't you tell to your BF? "I'm too caught up with my mom's work and helping with the baby" takes literally 10 seconds. It doesn't apply as something that "I think we should talk in person". d) If the blond girl and the baby won't be appearing again and not even explained, what was the point of them? We later know about Gao Shi De's new brother, and we assume the girl is the step-sister, but assuming is not enough. When they were facetiming with Shi De's mom, the girl and the baby could easily make a cameo. It would have been funny to see Shu Yi's reaction to his new sister-in-law. e) If you travel to another country to see your BF, and you caught him with another person and a baby... would you just leave without saying a word? that was absurd. Hell on earth first, then you go. f) Who paid Lin? what was the point of all that? g) I never understood Zhe Yu and Bing Wei relationship. Bing Wei went from "pursuing" Zhe Yu to asking to marry him. I didn't even know they were officially together until the very last moment, when BW said that they were living together. They deserved a little more screen time.
So, like most of people in here, it's fair to say that season two is only worth because of the ML chemistry. The plot sucked big time.
It was a great, until it wasn't. I get the whole "misleading" or "let's get things messy", but it's so unrealistic. When you're dealing with a long-distance relationship there are thing you can do and things that you cannot (if you wanna keep it, obviously). If your trip got extended... you are obligated to explain right away. If someone is sick... well, explain the situation, it's really not that hard. If you say nothing... you get nothing in return. In fact, this is such a red flag that I lost any interest in them at all for a 2nd season. He may have the greatest excuse for keep it to himself, but at the end of the day, it will always be just an excuse.
This was a quick watch for me. After episode one, I watched it in 5x. The plot was boring. The characters aren't charming at all. Also, I'd take Guy instead of Shin, any day!
The plot is borderline ridiculous, but I did like how the incorporated the music aspect. I liked Sarawat as a character, but I hated Tine since ep. 01 ´til the very end. He was cringy, childish and "not very smart" most of the time. Also, I've seen couples in chinese BL with more chemistry. The fact that they seemed afraid of physical contact is nonsense. I blame the direction and writing, not the actors.
I'm struggling through the 1st episode. I cannot stand the ML. Why is this called "secret" crush on you? The ML is not shy or reserved about his crush. His behavior is outragious, delulu, cringy, obsessive and borderline psycho.
This is such a good special episode! I loved to see so much character development for Type. He has grown a lot in the last 3 years, but somehow remains the same. I find his rocky-lovey side specially cute.
This is not a masterpiece... but it's way better than 2gether.
Type is just a misunderstood person. His homophobia was deeply connected to trauma, and for educated people it was easy to detect after his first "homo rant". So he wasn't a "walking red flag" for me. He was just a person with troubles and a long way of self-discovery. I loved his baby-steps growth. You can clearly see the struggle between what he thinks and what he feels. Tharn, on the other hand, was everything that a real straight man would hate about a gay man. He was pushy. He literally molested a drunk Type, and acted creepy-touchy while Type was sleeping. If a person says "let me go, please", you should always act on command. So, that´s why I didn't like him at first.
I've been smiling with tearing eyes through the whole series. Such a sweet story! Simply, but cute enough to light my day. I'm sure I'll be re-watching this quite often.
If you understand from the get going that the "weird voice over" and the cringe acting was done on purpose to make the characters look silly and campy... then you'll have quite a few laughs and you will certainly enjoy the ride. If you watch this expecting full drama and a mind-blowing plot... you will hate this.
Episode 1: 31 minutes in... and that's it! I just couldn't take it any longer. The acting and the script are no good. The allegedly hot actors that some people said to focus on... aren't even that hot.
I watched this a couple of days ago on Viki for the first time. Even when I really enjoyed the series overall, I got kinda pissed off by the ending (which felt unfinished). Plus, I just wanted them together (Xia Yao and Yuan Zong) somehow. Last night all my dreams came true. I found out that I watched a heavily censored version (without even realize it). So, I won't spoil anything, except that: If you liked the series or the ML's chemistry; If you thought there was "potential" to be good; If the ending left you weird out somehow... Then go inmediately to Dailymotion and watch the uncut version (30 episodes, +21 mins each).
A: Yes. I was very happy when it ended. I could't wait for this show to be over.

Although the ending felt a little rushed for my taste, this series is a solid 8/10.

... and that car isn't even that expensive.

Acting: 6/10 (Mew's alone would be 8/10)
Writing: 4/10
Mew's nipples: 10/10
