The themes discussed are really deep!
So, the premise of story is light hearted, with supernatural elements, yet subtle hints of deep ideas were shown throughout the episodes. Questions about destiny, fate and altering it were presented throughout the series.Let me dwell into the supernatural element part of the show a bit further. Tai suffers from sensorineural hearing loss when it rains. However, as fate decides, he can only hear one voice when it rains. And its his... soulmate.
The family dynamics, the complexities of what being a human means, and how sometimes, love is simply not enough. The relationships between parents, the ex and the remarriage of the mother were handled so well with maturity, no melodrama, just pure emotions.
I like how they tried to further dwell into the supernatural element, but it was too late. The last episodes were rushed. And I completely understand why Phat and Tai did what they did in last three episodes where Tai and Phat lose their connection. For them to lose their mind was completely normal. For people who don't understand why, just imagine yourself suddenly losing your sight, the very thing most of us are grown with and you simply don't know why. Of course , for a while you will lose it. And they did too, Phat lashes out on Tai because he was connected to him. And this is why they thought the relationship might fall off, it's because they were connected to each other for 2 whole years, of course they will lose it, but they handled it well. But the conversation they had in last few minutes, should have been longer. It was rushed. -1 for that. But props to them for realising that love goes beyond destiny and fate!
And another -0.5 because they made Lomfon completely a homewrecker.
Rest I really liked the series and it conveys something beautiful that... Love goes beyond time and fate, but sometimes it simply is not....enough. It's a happy ending!

THIS SERIES WITH TIME OF FEVER WILL STAY THE BEST ONES FOR ME...FOREVER
Okay...So this is the best KBl I have ever seen. The plot is realistic, grounding and...simply alive. The emotions character felt were so beautifully presented! The maturity of characters, trauma adding depth and not just treated as an accessory... we get why yoon is the way he is, without dwelling much into his past. And that's amazing, how they conveyed it. Every character had their own flaws. And the way they handled it is very realistic. The fear ji won faces every time he was with yoon, the fact that he lied... was perfectly overwhelming. The art aspect of it was covered well too. The fact that in any relationship you are bound to hurt and get hurt.... and that a relationship based on lies will always have issues are some real things we need in today's world. The pacing was good, neither too fast nor too slow. The actors did a really good job portraying depths and emotions, the cinematography was on point, dreamy yet realistic, complimenting to the plot itself. The dialogues and story writing were top notch. The background music was complimenting the plot as well! IT WAS PERFECT FOR ME! It's not just an easy watch, but also a series with serious lessons if watched seriously.
And I will miss them!

Simple, realistic yet subtly emotional at gutt wrenching parts (for me)
The premise of the story is pretty simple and quite easy to follow. Set on popular high school Ye Guang is an elite while Xu Qi Zhang, on the other hand, tends to blend into the background except for when he's performing on stage with his band. The ost is fun! The balance of heavy and light hearted moments did a very well job here! The plot is simple yet realistic... I wish the screen time was more and focused more on the bully and parents part...and what happened to the uncle? Although they did a good job... because they did not turn the parents into complete villains. They are bad parent, but the fact they are willing to change for the sake of their kid is touching. Ye Guang is a character I will forever confide in because of how relatable he is. He isn't so very rebellious like many others, but wants his parents to understand him. I think many of us have found ourselves in his shoes... which makes it quite emotional. The side couple had a good story too! I LOVE RAYY>>> Good thing this high school drama isn't only about romance but also friendships, dreams, emotional baggage one might feel during that time! That makes romance more meaningful. The characters are lovable except a one or two and have there own life, and they are not simply there, But I wish the writing was more strong...there were so many things they wanted to convey. It should be a little longer... The pacing was lowkey awkward for me. It could be better! -1 for that...and -1 for weak writing and -0.5 for few plot holes. But it's still a story which can touch you emotionally and deserved more love! HAPPY ENDING GUYS! Its a good watch, better than many! PLEASE CHECK OUT THE OSTs! They are so good, like others mentioned! Was this review helpful to you?
