I absolutely LOVE Joss and Gawin as Mark and Tong, I have no complaints whatsoever regarding their acting, chemistry, intimacy, and how well they have portrayed their characters with the limited materials they were given. The transition into being boyfriends is one of the most natural ones I've ever seen in ANY BL's! It's so rare, but THIS is exactly how couples are suppose to act. Not that head pat, act cute, no initimacy, hug once in a while bullshit. But THIS. Only a select few BL's including MGB have achieved this.
Now, with that being said, I think the biggest problem I have with this show, is the editing. The editing, was absolutely atrocious this episode, it was choppy, random jump cuts, and all over the place, and the sound design needs MAJOR work. The editing has been so incredibly flip floppy in some Eps, and I think that's what's pulling a lot of people away from it. Those are the biggest complaints I see regarding this show. It's really sad, and I truly hope with the reamining eps, it gets better, because GMMTV is really dimminishing the power and potential of this show, given how outstanding Joss and Gawin have been. I can understand limited budgeting, but that doesn't excuse how bad it was this ep.
The chemistry was chemistrying. The tension, the flirting, teasing and KISS at the end of this episode, I just have no words. I’ve become an absolute FEIN for these two. The intimacy and romance between Mark and Tong is undeniable.
This show is so fun so far! Still cant find the “terrible acting” some people are complaining about. The effects are MUCH better than the first episode. I’m excited to see what’s in store next week. 🤭
The saddest thing about this for me is how I expected the series to be very good. Yes, my expectation was high…
Sadly I have to agree. I don’t know where the story line is going anymore. First I was excited for them to get to the island and now I can’t wait for them to leave. (I just want something, ANYTHING to happen at this point to progress the story ). Pond and Phuwin are literally pulling all the weight with their chemistry/romance with this out of control plot and they are doing a damn good job. Don’t get me wrong I’m still weirdly enjoying it and will continue watching, but it’s just dragging on at this point. If it wasn’t for Pond, Phuwin, Perth, and Chimon I would’ve dropped this show after this weeks episode. Ep 1-5 were the best main story wise. I was hoping their romance from ep 6-8 happened while Neung was worried for the safety of his mother and not only living together on the island with Palm. Just something more, you know? I’m praying we finally see some action next week, because the actors deserve some justice with this awful writing. With how slow things are going, I’m worried they are going to rush the finale and that’s not going to be good…
The confession scene was everything! I’m so glad we got some honesty from both Neung and Palm about their feelings. We’re not completely there yet, but I’ll take what we’ve gotten so far this episode.
oh god, i feel very bad for the actors..specially these two.. why do they end up with wrong directorsJoe is so…
I’m assuming you’re referring to the inspirational quotes after each episode of NLMG. Those are very common in Thai lakorns and have been a thing for years. It’s not only specific to 1000 stars.
The whole bodyguard narrative of this storyline is what brings this drama down. It's just so dumb and utterly…
That is my biggest qualm about the show as well! Where are the bloody bodyguards at? After the way Tanya’s husband was killed they should’ve been surrounded with them from the moment after. It’s unrealistic really.
Yesss for the character development. Neung has a lot of growing up to do, I think finally being away from this expectations and hiding away with Palm will bring out his true sense of individuality. We finally get to see Palm and Neung be carefree in an environment Palm is comfortable in. The tables have turned and I can’t wait to see it!
What an episode! Tanya and Neung’s coversation was so well done! My favorite part of the episode really. Absolutely brilliant. Also that kiss thoughhhh 👀 I’m fucking shook and wasn’t t expecting it to be like that. A round of applause for everyone.
Phuwin is doing great. My heart hurts when I think about Nueng's loneliness. I feel this way because he convays…
Absolutely! My heart hurts for Neung, but it hurts more for Palm after his constant mistreatment these past episodes. Excited to see how it plays out with Ben and Neung next week!
Everyone is definitely entitled to their opinion, if you don’t like something you have a right to criticize. It’s unfortunate I’ve seen more unnecessary hate then actual valid criticism for this show. But yes, I also couldn’t get into Vice Versa and dropped it after a few episodes! To each their own.
Holy crap the amount of hate I’m seeing for this series on here is insane. It’s okay to have an opinion, but masking your hate as “criticism” is pathetic. There is some valid criticism, but the negativity here is so off putting. NLMG just started people we’re only 4 episodes in, a lot of stuff doesn’t make sense yet so give it some time. We still have 8 more eps to go. I for one am enjoying this one a ton compared to other series that have come out around the same time/2022 alone. I like that I don’t know what’s going to happen and that everyone seems suspicious of something. I’m also very glad that this isn’t a NC scene heavy type of drama. It’s a dark love story that’s going to have twist and turns. Lots of teenage angst and what not. That seemed to be the theme of many dramas in 2022, majority of them rose to popularity due to the heavy sexual nature within them. It’s nice to see NLMG kind of step away from that. At the end of the day this is just a tv show, I promise it’s not that serious. 😉 If it’s not your cup of tea I can’t convince you otherwise, because I for one wouldn’t continue watching a drama if I didn’t like the storyline, the acting, the main leads, etc.
Sidenote: Am I the only one who doesn’t have an issue with Phuwin’s acting? I’m seeing a lot of outrage regarding that here and I’m confused? I think he’s doing fine given his character. Although he’s definitely improved from FUTS (they both have) Pond is the one who still seems stiff to me at certain times. Ponds facial expressions are great, but the way he says his dialogue sometimes seems very flat and emotionless, like he’s just straight up reading the script. It’s not anything major for me though. I’m still very much enjoying the show 🤷🏽♀️
