It starts a bit slow and gets a lot better as it goes along. You have to be a bit patient with 50 episodes weekly dramas. I am enjoying this one and look forward to it weekly. If you start it now, it’s more than half way through and the best parts are happening now.

Ko Song Hui’s venom toward her daughter showed her true inner self. In case anyone (me) thought she actually loved her children, Her threat to take down/kill anyone in her way to her daughter certainly dispelled that myth. She truly loves noone ! Not her husband or her 3 children. She detests her step son. Her goal has always been money and status. Her secret safe filled with gold bars and cash and her henchmen she has prey on anyone who gets in her way are evidence of her black heart! I have seen many despicable characters in dramas over the years and she is definitely in the top 10 as the worst!

I remember that too. It was early on and she did refer to her as her daughter. Sometimes writers mess up and are inconsistent.

This really is a beautiful series about family. what it means to be a mother, father, grandparent, son, and daughter, sister and brother. A good one as well as a bad one. How rich or poor you are doesn’t make you a good or bad one. Your character and values are what is most important.

At this point - no. I think she is actually worse that Se Young in Cinderella Game who was given that arc. In her case, I didn’t love it at first, but realized her childhood trauma and her mothers constant mental abuse caused her to be a seriously flawed person. I’m not sure that I see YC in the same light. she’s more like SeRi in Queens House to me. But who knows, perhaps the writers will give her some humanity down the line and I will change my mind.

YC treated her so badly, disrespected her, and even stole her designs. She was fragile and in a fractured mental state. I get her. once she learned who her mother was she totally lost all objectivity.

I’m pretty sure she is. she has memory loss and now is having flashbacks that only the real crown princess world know. They also never identified her body.
