Thought I'd share my take on this drama in case it helps anyone out there, especially since I’ve seen quite a few mixed reviews and comments.

First of all, let me say it straight: I LOVED this drama.

In general, I’m a big fan of Korean BLs. I personally think Korea does them best — they have this unique ability to tell simple, subtle stories that may not have a lot of dramatic plot twists, but still leave a lasting impression. That’s usually thanks to a combination of great acting and beautiful cinematography. These are the kinds of stories that, if done in a different way (say, by another country like Thailand), could easily come off as cringey or overly dramatic. But Korean BLs tend to keep things understated in the best way.

This drama is exactly that kind of story — simple, focused on everyday life and quiet emotional struggles, without any over-the-top drama or crazy twists. It’s the kind of narrative that can easily fall flat or feel boring if it’s not done well. But in my opinion, the actors absolutely nailed it.

It’s not easy to portray deep inner emotions subtly — without the help of flashy action scenes or dramatic music — and that’s why I really admire strong acting in this kind of setting. It’s all about the little details: tone of voice, body language, the eyes.

And speaking of eyes — that was my favorite part of the whole drama.
The main lead playing Kwon Jeong U delivered such a powerful, nuanced performance just through his expressions. The way he looked at the other lead — with quiet love, admiration, longing… that indescribable feeling of not being able to take your eyes off someone you love — it was truly mesmerizing. I found myself completely drawn in every time he was on screen. And just to be clear, I’m not talking about looks or visual appeal here — I’m talking about raw, emotional acting through eye expressions, which I rarely see done this well. When it happens, it’s unforgettable.

So to wrap this up:
If you’re going into this drama expecting fast-paced action or major plot twists, you might find it slow or uneventful. But if you watch it for what it really is — a story about inner emotions and the quiet moments of daily life — and pay attention to the acting, I think you’ll truly enjoy it. It’s subtle, it’s heartfelt, and it stayed with me long after I finished watching.

This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to leave a comment on this platform—and it's all because of the effortless talent, charisma, and magnetic presence of this man. His performance captivated me so deeply that I’ve rewatched BBT more than three times, which is incredibly rare for me. I'm absolutely enamored with his acting, especially the subtlety in his facial expressions. I genuinely hope he gets the recognition he deserves and makes it big in the industry. He’s truly something special.
