Her reasoning was BS and even worse considering she knew how it would feel. Poor guy prob lost hope for humanity.

This person has 2 much of a main character syndrome to do that.

FL is so passive, clueless and self destructive it's getting hard to watch.

I wouldn't think to much about it since him losing and liquidating all those assets before trial even started made no sense and couldn't be realistically executed in the time frame. Also how could he pay fines before trial even ended or any procedings even started ?

He could only give them money of his free will with no attachment and just wire it because he felt bad but that can't realistically be executed unless he only gave them his liquid savings. Makes no sense to be able to just sell off cars, company, estate in such short time and move such huge money. It is also braindead thing to do especially when you need money for court or to live if you lose and won't be hired for some time and you won't get the money back without another legal battle.

I also don't know how law is exactly in Korea but looking at plastic clinics there all big ones are registered as limited companies so they need to prove gross negligence to go after his personal assets not just company going bankrupt.

So having that baseline you can't base how he will get anything back because it made no sense in the first place to lose it all in such manner but I am sure writters will come up with something that will fit their narative.

How is son that is minor more at fault then adult woman that is in position of a teacher and was given trust to take care of the kids.. ofc you blame adult but the way mother handled situation as a whole wasn't effective or proper either.

Well reason why they act that way, excluding ofc the bad actors, is because many are sponsored by alcohol companies.

This show also has such sponsor and it has huge influence on so many scenes involving alcohol.

Now why is that a problem ? Because they are instructed to promote the drinking and making it fun or else sponsors wouldn't be happy about it.

The reason why drinking is like it is in Korea is partially because of biased representation in media that is heavily manipulated by sponsor money.

I don't really remember many kdramas having negative connotations tied to drinking scenes. It's mostly used in comedic, fun, bonding, plot moving, memory disappearing and conveniently coming back and moving relationship forward in a positive way,..

Don't worry guys. By the end of the show everything will eventually be resolved by someone overhearing something somewhere and drinking all the problems away in celebration with product placement make up montage as they all happily drive away in beach slowmo sunset in new korean car model while listening to music on their new variety models of Samsung phones.

Idk.. I generally see valid criticism and people can watch a show and be disapointed by some parts of it. Most probably just wanted more and are disapointed by some flaws.

Cheery picking few random unreasonable full on haters is not the general consensus and is pointless to mention because it only brings then power and satisfaction by bringing it up or arguing with them. So ignoring valid criticism and calling on unhinged haters takes as examples of general criticism kinda dismisses valid critiques.

Well I am not for sure but he was considered #1 and most popular / desirable so she prob wanted "the best" as trophy.

There is also her looking at Son's father candid picture in after credits so she maybe knows him somehow.
