One of the most unsatisfying conclusions to overall major plot and revenge / justice with lazy last 15 min time skip double amnesia bs the worst ending.

I thought I finally found cdrama I would really like but it all got ruined in last third. To the point where its like we are watching completely different characters and story with new director. WTF happened ? It just turned into BS misogynistic traditionalists propaganda.

@ailoe I'll trust you and watch a few ep in few hours. Females are usually represented as tools to do something with story or as love interest and not like actual people. They are written like some caricatures and not actual person and it takes you completely out of the show. They also can't outshine ml and need to be dependable and saved by ML and any issue that presents needs to be solved by someone else. They sometimes try to fake their independence in first few ep but they end up abandoning that soon. It's so misogynistic it almost screams parody because it's not even done in real believable way even if that was intention. It's like you are watching some fanfic. Tbh I don't really mind such misogynistic power dynamic itself that much because it's kinda true esp in east or if its relevant to time period but atleast write characters as actual people and not tools or caricatures. They are so unrelatable that you can't take them serious as actual beings you could care for because they also remind you they are not actually real.

Anyway thanks I'll try and watch show you recommend.

i sorta limit my expectations when it comes to these dramas but had no luck with cdramas so I tried to watch highest rated one. I like fantasy a lot but even for someone like me this just didn't click. So it wasn't genre issue.

Considering this was so high rated I expected to like it considering it is genre I watched many mid stuff and still enjoyed it but this was very hard to watch imo. I expected for it to be atleast somewhat good considering its highest rated show but it just has so many issues.

FL was childish and ignorant with annoying voice, ending was rushed and disappointed, costumes looked plastic and just bad, swords looked like toys for kids, fight scenes were awful. They don't even try to hide that they are using ropes.

Tbh some visuals were good in some parts and even that had some fail cgi. Story was mid and ml were good. Music was also fine. Story is drawn out and predictable and has no plot twists. Character switch is probably the only truly enjoyable part of this show.

I find execution and ton of issues very disappointing for such high rated show and the fact that I had to force myself to finish it even tho I like this genre is the reason why I was asking myself if cdramas are even for me if this is some of the best it can offer.

This would be way better if writters wrote decent boyfriend character for FL with who she could work on improving their sex life so they could work on their relationship and overcome their issues.

Instead writters decided to write him as kinda a average slob and she breaks up with him after 5 years of faking orgasms and acting like she likes stuff she doesnt. Then throw her a perfect guy who can do it all and we have no character progression or solutions to relationship issues and how to overcome them. FL doesn't work on herself at all and if she is ever in any other realistic relationship she will have same issues again.

So just hope random hot guy who falls from sky who can do it all comes in your life and all your problems will be solved. Such wasted potential with ton of double standards and average man = bad.

based on score this is best that cdrama can offer. I am sorry but cdrama might not be for me. There are so many issues with this show.

FL is one of the most dependable characters and she had to get rescued many times. She had no bussiness sense and never had any solutions to offer and always waited for ML do everything. When things got hard she always froze or got flustered and when it came to courage to confess fealings she was coy and shy.

I never at any point considered her character to be strong, smart or independent. U were just told by writters she is but never once in all episodes was that shown. Its just fake bs and idk who they were trying to fool. I didn't watch that many cdrama but in all of them females were like a tools for the plot / love interest not actual person.

last episode court scenes make no sense.. how can judge be someone who was employer of the defender even more she was very close to her for many years. Ignoring that why tf wasn't it all stopped after witnesses started saying judge was involved. They should delay trial and investigate it and get new judge. Well writters dont really care I guess considering she was a judge in the first place. Those court scenes were the most ridiculous and unbelievably inaccurate scenes that even casual person is rolling their eyes at how ridiculous they are. For law based show and finale episode all this build up falls flat with this awful display that makes absolutely no sense.

Yeah I think the way she acted had more to do with weird dynamic then age. They tried making her more mature with that 1 year away thing but it was rushed and in last few mins of last episode.

Every character hitting on her was kinda cringe writing and very out of blue when his friend did it. Many plots were rushed and many characters were not utilized properly.

I sometimes find it hard the way they do relationships in these dramas because they make big deal out of stuff that I don't even bat an eye. I am european so many things seem very reserved in these shows and they usually make big deals out of age gap, family stuff and even holding hands or sleeping in bed. But then many times there these toxic guys or 2nd leads who are very assertive or can't take no and give stalker vibes and many people here seem to like those characters purely because they are hot or big actor. Wtf is up with that. Many times it seems like normalized behavior.

Anyway they prob wanted to make her naive and endearing but she came of childish like some 13yo so it was mostly cringe but show as whole and characters felt like manga or anime and not grounded medical drama.

Sure this show is a mess but I don't see this being a mess because of age gap issue. FL is acting immature even for 22 yo and I don't see how 5-8 age gap is creepy, its more the way she acts. If that is weird then ML sister dating that 22 yo is probably mind blowing to you considering she is older then ML.

Someone in their 20s being with someone in their 30s is very common and its not at all shocking age gap. You being creeped out by 30 yos like they are some boomers from different era makes me laugh :D

Anyway show has ton of issues in many aspects and I never even consdered their age being one.

It's less annoying then toxic persistent male 2nd leads who don't take a hint when girl says no and persists for 100 times in really imposing uncomfortable way.

You guys know how its frustrating when there is that annoying near miss in show you are watching ?Well in this show this basically happens multiple times and in multiple episodes.

This sound like incel friendzoned friend who thinks that doing nice things for your friends means that they must give back romantic feelings for some reason. You like / love person romantically based on your preferences and just because your friend does nice things for you doesn't mean you need to be attracted to them.

While I agree on some of the things you said I don't understand your rant about them needing to hire actor that is autistic savant.

I don't think there is anyone who could play that role considering you said there are only like 75 people in the world with such traits and you said very few females are diagnosed.

Now idk how you would find female Korean actress even without star power for FL that is autistic actor that could perform this role.

In any case Actors are there to perform characters. When you act as doctor, murder, lawyer, cook, psychopath or other roles that doesn't mean you actually are that.. you act. If performance is lacking its because of script or actors portrayal or their abilities to act and not because they should be autistic in order to portray it proper. Also comparing this to race swapping makes no sense.

Idk if I would look forward about how they end the show. It's a great show but has one of the worst ending.
