Only really like the first 18 eps of the story. FL scripts were really funny and refreshing. The later part of the drama feels much heavier. l find the characters, Liao Ting Yan and Hei Nian Jiu really cute. The ending makes me want to watch more.
Overall, I find this drama is easy to watch. I appreciate the themes of loyalty, courage, and devotion woven throughout the story. In particular, the heroic story of the Song family and Princess Miao He is deeply moving and very well-written. FL's styling beautifully complements her facial features. I like how graceful she looks and acts in this drama. She comes out as very pleasant on screen. The post-production visuals were handled beautifully. It changed my impression of her and allowed me to better appreciate her acting. The ending is equally well handled: unhurried and satisfying. The ML fits his role nicely as well, portraying a boyish, idealistic devotion in love that feels sincere and genuine. There was only a small part in the drama that I find his acting too childish. Cao and Quan portrayed their role realistically as well. It is a skilled cast and crew. I give this drama 8.5. The OST aren't catchy, but suitable.

Besides Marquis Pingjin, I think Master Gao Ming also stands out as a very well-crafted character, but of course, it was the two actors who brought these two characters to life with their outstanding performances. Overall, the entire cast did well. Can feel that everyone put in their best.
Just watched the special episode. Although the ending was changed to a happy one, the final part felt a little too light-hearted. Not that I prefer a sad ending, rather there is a lack of emotional depth being expressed, resulting in a missed opportunity for the main leads and the primary supporting cast to further demonstrate the full range of their acting abilities.
Overall, the story remains an engaging one and not overwhelming to watch. It is humorous, cute, and sweet at times. while heart-warming, serious, and painful at other times. This emotional range allows the main leads, especially Wang You Shuo, as well as the primary supporting cast, ample space to showcase their acting abilities, lending richness and depth to the drama as a whole.
Watching Blood River on Viu now. Long to see a major role change for Gong Jun. Glad he took up this role as Su Mu Yu. It changed my impression of him. Very brave decision. I like how he portrayed Su Mu Yu's sweet and gentle side when he is with Bai He Huai, as well as the principled and upright side of Su Mu Yu/Zhuo Yue An, shaped and guided by his father's teachings. Also, liked how he portrayed his friendship with Su Chang He. There is also this melancholy and inner quiet of Su Mu Yu that is well-portrayed. This role made me see his growth as an actor, relying less on surface charm and more on inner strength and characterization.
Everyone should see Xiao Yan's performance in the Melody of Golden Age. The cuteness she brought to her character is delightful. It's impossible not to smile watching her.

I really like the story and the beautiful costumes. The female lead acted very well. She isn't particularly beautiful, but she managed to convincingly portray a woman who is desirable. Caesar Wu looks good in this type of role. In this one, sometimes his facial expression appears a bit too gentle for someone who has hatred in his heart. Their sensuous intimate scenes were well-executed and acceptable, except for the first sensuous bath scene. It felt a bit too sudden and somewhat uncouth --- not a pleasant way to start. What really spoils for me was the unrealistic number of soldiers. It's an 8/10 rating for me.

I really like this scene. Zhang Ping's strong moral principles, combined with his somewhat naive and straightforward nature, made him amusing and engaging to watch. Lan Jue's struggle to hold on to his integrity and righteousness adds a comfortable depth to his character. The actors did well. The empress dowager really stood out for me, with very convincing acting by the actress Shi. She nailed down every subtlety with consistency. Truly impressive. Wang's portrayal of Gu Qing Zhang was elegant and compelling. Hong's role as Wang Yan suits him well. Overall, the drama was decent, but the way the events unfolded and the logic behind the plot didn't feel very convincing. Appreciate the emperor's character. Didn't expect to see an emperor portrayed as being so humble, open-minded, and genuinely caring for his people. That was refreshing. Really like the ending theme song, 天下大福, sang by Zhao Liang Qi and Deep Space Junior Choir played at the end of the drama. Wonder who wrote the lyrics. I really like it.
