Played by Janice Wu & Vin Zhang of course I've to watch this one...

The drama told about 1 man, Xu Yan Shi (YS), that like 1 woman, Xiang Yuan (XY), in his life. But life played them good & separated them again & again until life decided enough time to make them together now. Haha...

YS & XY have 4 times encounter: kindergarten, high school, university & workplace. But when in high school & university, YS's dad succeed screw up their chance & finally they have their chance in the workplace.

The story begin in Velin company, the branch of Donghe group that in the verge of collapse, cause bad management, corruption & nepotism deep in the management. XY is happy go lucky girl from rich family that at first don't care about her family business. XY grandpa, chairman of Donghe group, send XY undercover to manage this branch. In there XY finally group up from happy go lucky girl to the girl that finally understand how to manage business & care enough about her family business in the end.

What I like:
+ First of all really happy to finally have another director that using their brain when cast, to separate the cast of adult time & high school time... Sometimes I must sigh when I see actor/ess on end off their 20s or early 30s play as high school student. I know sometimes that relate to the budget etc. & the bonus point, they even cast the actor/ess according to their respective age in the drama...
+ The chemistry between Janice Wu & Vin Zhang is good.... They match each other perfectly. It feel really like old friend that finally get together. Janice & Vin Zhang looked like having fun while filming this drama.
+ The develop of YS & XY relationship is make sense. YS a few times make XY angry & XY not immediately forgive him, all need process....
+ YS is quite jealousy boyfriend, but his jealousy several time quite make sense. But I really like when he never restrict XY's life & really respect her, especially when he said that XY should not change herself just cause him.
+ The story of Gao Leng (GL) & Chen Shu (CS) also make sense. They love each other, but GL indeed need to grow up to match CS. And I kinda like how GL just not give up, but he still care & try to chase CS again.
+ The cute & adorable XY's grandpa. Especially when YS's friend try to messed his mind about his evaluation toward YS. Is just so funny...
+ Janice is quite adorable played XY, but still nothing too new about her acting...

Overall this really one good drama this year...

Stupid love story, but quite cute & adorable

I actually don't know what to say about this. But for sure thank God this is just short drama not a long one.

Story about one stupid boy that falling in love with a girl but don't want to say his feeling & only troll the girl feeling. And at the brick that girl almost give up her feeling, that boy finally admit that he like her too. Yeah one stupid love story that we romanticizes. But funnily, even for me, no matter stupid this story is, we still like it & cheer for that relationship to finally blossom.

Overall thank God this is just short drama not a long one if not I don't know how will they stretch this...

I think one or 2 year ago I saw this drama up and go in the feeds, since this year I have empty slot for Alphabet Drama / Movie Challenge I decided to give drama a go. Turn out not as good as I expected.

What make me hang to the last scene is the black hole. I'm really curious about that black hole, what is that? Is it really connect between the comic/story realm? Or just a glitch in the system? Unfortunately until the last scene we never get explanation about this black hole. Gonna be much better if we can know what is this black hole.

And also about that self conscious. How come some people get it some people not get it...? What the criteria to choose it? Is it because the character that selected for several times to be in the new story world? I mean just like Eun Dan Oh & Ha Ru, we can see them as character from the previous story, but Lee Do Hwa no I don't think so. Or maybe because they have too much interaction with the self conscious character, like Lee Do Hwa & Yeo Joo Da? So you see it just so confusing why they're the chosen one?

Overall for me this unique concept of story but not so much in the realization...

This drama start good, middle ok, but dive down in the end. One drama that start the drama with 1 plot, but through out the series like loosing it's grip to original story & just grab anything to hold the story. Ok. Let me explained

The story begin with Shen Yi Yi (YY) that replace her friend, Shen Die Yi (DY), as the bride, with the hidden purpose of looking for DY real identity. The marriage itself between DY & Tang Jiu Hua (JH) not really typical arrange marriage, they have feeling for each other & because YY don't want to take DY place in JH family, she tried to escape several times & failed. After arrived at JH house, JH said he already register YY to Shangyi Guan (academy) & that they also can do the investigation regard DY identity in the academy. So to delay the marriage between YY & JH, YY agreed to enroll to the academy. In the academy she found friend & companion & their story begin. With time role, they found out each of their companion has story & secret to tell.

From the summary I wrote above do you found the problem to begin with...? Haha...
1. They seems completely forgot that YY want to uncover the identity of DY in the first place. Through out the story they really rarely discuss about this. YY never really seriously investigate about the pendant that DY leave behind. She just seems to enjoy her day at the academy & all the problem that raise within the academy itself. Yeah some of you can argue that it's hard to find because the secret is in the palace, etc... But if that the problem they can short the story, so they don't really need to tell the story of her academy days & just jump to graduation & her station in the palace, etc...
2. The student (or you can say YY & her companion) really involve in the politic issue & many strange case which should not be for consumption of student. Haha...

But at the same time ironically, the days in the academy is really fit with the title, The Chang'an Youth. Yeah so this drama really about the young people in Chang'an.

Overall just like Apple Eye, me too also lost interest midway the series. And in the end I just don't know wish this drama to be longer so it can be more clear or not, cause I feel if this longer I might drop this

Reverse mode

Horah!!! They continue their story after season 3, or I'll gonna say season 1 part 3. Because for me, this is the real season 2. And of course that make this Season 2 part 1 for me....

This time it's Qin Yu (QY) turn to come to the future, or you can said out from the book to the real world, to search for Yian Yi Yi (YY) / Consort Rong. But of course the story not that simple, since YY's memory about her adventure in the book world already wipe clean by book officer. And of course YY receive new mission from Book Officer to send QY back to book world. But whatever happen QY still insist to stay in real world & start to chase YY again.... And their journey begin....

This part tell story about YY's life in real life. We get to know YY's close friend & family. We get to meet several familiar face from previous season & also new face.

The biggest and questioning part of this season is where the h*ll QY get all the money. Haha... QY is still QY. Even in real world he still becoming rich guy & of course pampering YY with all the money. We get the glimpse imagination that maybe QY pawn or sold everything he bring from book world & also cut & sold his hair. But is it really enough for sponsor all the spoil thing he did to YY...? And YY also become one stupid girl that never ever even think/bother to ask QY where he gets all the money.... She just receive it & think that natural thing to do by man.... Aiyo....

The second question: How fast QY & Li Zhi Duo adapt in real / modern world. Ok they kinda explained that QY is fast learner& quite smart you can say. But for someone that comes from ancient world that easy adapt to our world is one big question mark for me. Haha...

And apart from that question the problem also start to raise for our lead. And close the curtain with obstacle that QY & YY have to solved. So their story continue to season 5 or I'll say part 2....

a love tragedy where no one wins.

This is a story about the selfishness of a girl, revenge story & the backlash/karma after that.

Story about Jiang Li (JL) a woman that died whose try to find the reason & the man who is responsible for her dead. At first we get to see JL as an easy go lucky girl that try as hard as she can to get the love & attention from her love, Mo Yan (MY). And the story start to role, we can see that turn out JL not as naïve as we think she is, she is the spoiled girl that always get what she wants. That's why she keep harass MY in the name of love, just because she can't get him. In the end, finally she gave up & move on to the one man that always beside her, Zhao Qian Qiu (QQ).

What become pity here for our JL. As the story role we also can see that QQ turn out not honest or sincere toward JL. And the reason behind it quite pity too, the revenge for his dad. But in my opinion, if the story not this short, maybe we can see the polemic within QQ heart, where turn out he already fall in love with JL.

And in the end it become really really pity when we see the story between MY & JL. But for know the story for MY & JL themselves you can watch yourself. If I wrote that here, it will gonna be a big spoiler & I'm not gonna wrote that big spoiler here....

In the end, this is like Howard wrote: "In the end its a love tragedy where no one wins." But once again this a good story to self reflect. Because what you did in the end gonna be bite you back...

A little bit too long

Long time heard about this drama, split between want to watch (because of Niu Jiu Feng & Landy Li) and some not too good review for this drama. But finally decided to peek into this drama, and the first ep success to capture interest, that's why finally I watch this drama...

After watch also split between want to give good score, due to very interesting story that you can say cover all the aspect, or bad score, due to very God D*MN long episode. Finally settled in 7.5, cause I don't think 8 is good enough for this drama. Haha...

For me this drama kinda losing it's focus cause too many aspect that they want to include in. Ok. I think I'll gonna spoiler a little bit. If you don't want to know just skip reading my review then...






The little too many aspect:
- Trauma. Sheng Jing Chu (JC) trauma that cause by accident that killed his parent, make him can't see color. The worst healing process that happen in the drama. Once he open his heart to Cheng Liao (CL), suddenly he just healed. Ugh, yeah I know how romantic that's for our drama, but is it really that easy to heal the trauma...??
- The unhealthy obsessions Yao Ke (YK) to JC. Yeah I know this still sport drama, and sometimes there's crazy person that want to do anything in order to win and be number 1. But I think this obsessions take too much & unimportant screen time. They can treat YK like JC's other opponents with limited screen time only when competition time, because you can't say YK is a worthy opponent for JC. Another case if they make YK more worthy opponent for JC, like I really wish that Jubango can be really worthy of our screen time, where we can see how they alternately lose and win between YK & JC to make that scene is more exciting for us to watch. Instead this only make YK has more and more unhealthy obsessions to JC. Sometimes feel very sorry for YK, even though he has 2 teacher, no one really pay attention to the dark side of his heart, while JC always have good advice. That's why in the end JC can manage his heart and get out from the dark side, while YK fall more and more deep into the dark side.

The part that I don't know to put it into good or bad part.
- The other program from the TV station. Good cause make this drama not only about go, but also about other stuff. Bad because what this drama actually about, what is the focus of the drama....
- The other drama. Between Cheng Yi (CY) & her man. Good because they show us the step, from introduction to finally she acknowledge her own feeling. Bad because in the end, it's still like CY also has to choose between these 2 man, & can't actually happy by herself & her career.
- The other drama. Between Ding Lan (DL) & Cao Xi He (XH). Good cause what DL said to XH is so true, like how she can like him if he keep changing every time they meet, just for know her preference in man instead be himself. Bad cause they just take unnecessary screen time, that make this drama longer.... But their interaction quite liven up the drama, so I kinda like it....

OK. Now on the (+) side of the drama:
+ I really like how the romance develop between our couple. Apart from the drama of CY's 2 man, I still like how she develops feeling for Jiang Yu Da.
+ How JC & CL support each other. Although sometimes they don't talk too much about their problem, but they know how in the end they will gonna support each other. Like when JC want to change his style when playing go, how CL just support him without much asking question.

Overall this drama can have shorter ep if only they more focus on the importance stuff in the drama, and not try putting everything... But in the end this still quite enjoyable ride for me

Long time heard about this drama, watch little by little until finally I've finished it today. Haha...

This is indeed a very unique drama, funny, light hearted, but at the same time still quite heavy with it's political issue. What stop me from time to time watching this, as usual for me, the duration of K-drama with each ep more than 60 min.

But to be truth as non k-drama watcher the more ep sometimes the more confuse I am with the political issue. With the king become the doll king & all the corruption in the kingdom. Sometimes I feel like just want to drop this drama, but then they make it funny and full of excitement again with the story of the king & the queen. Hehe...

Unfortunately for me this drama close its curtain with weird phase or u may say the weird phase for Jang Bong Hwan in the future. It's like something amiss that I can't put my finger into....

But overall this really one good & unique drama for you to fill yours days...

Another short drama that have messed up plot. Ugh... I can't even understand at first what this drama about... So damn confusing...

The story about one girl (Fang Xiao Ying (XY)) that very anti social, most people can't see her & she little by little become disappearing. The only person that notice & can see XY until the very end only Yu Zhi Ang (ZA) & he often said he is the reason for XY to disappear. OK until this I still found this drama very curious & want to know is XY in the end will disappear or not.

But in the end XY did disappear & the story from this fall apart very fast & very confusing. Everything ZA did after XY disappear is very confusing & have no logic. And after that we just wake from the dream & everything start to make more sense.

But there're no saving from the moment XY disappear. it just become one flop drama in the end.

Well as usual as other short drama this included in one messed up plot...

The story happen just so damn fast, with the no clear of the problem & one confusing plot that like jumping from scene to scene.

Story happen at first when Wang Zi Fei come across with her boyfriend with another woman that turn out her big client, and suddenly there was Dong Zi Fan just out of nowhere over marriage to her. The summary told us about business enemy... Well this is not really the case. Yeah they're company is rival to each other, with Zi Fan as the owner at the rival company and Zi Fei only as employe at her company. Later on, Zi Fei's boss want to do dirty business & ask Zi Fei to steal Zi Fan company secret. This where the plot get messier & makes no sense. Maybe if they make the plot more tidy it's gonna be better & much more make sense.

Overall this only one short drama that running over in ur time

Several times heard this drama, really interesting after 𝙈𝘿𝙇 𝙀𝙉𝘿 𝙊𝙁 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙔𝙀𝘼𝙍 𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙇𝙇𝙀𝙉𝙂𝙀 by Kate - guilty pleasure of 2022 & discussion on the feeds. Haha.... Never expected this to be short drama, so that's why I finally just jump to watch this drama in the end. Haha...

Yeah you can say this some kind of trash for some people, but definitely quite good quick story for me. They have story to tell, have beginning & also end, and definitely have some abs to look at. Haha...

But unfortunately the story lack a little bit. The moment Dong Ting Yao fall in love to Fang Tian Yi is a little bit blur. It just like it a sudden move from hate to love. Yeah I know he saved her. That's maybe the trigger. But the feeling is not too clear. Maybe because this is only quick drama, if they have longer duration the feeling can elaborate more and more.

Well in the end this is just another quick & short drama to pass your time....

too many forced accidents

Watch this of course for our lead, Janice Wu & Luo Yun Xi. I must say I'm disappointed with this drama. They forced too many good things that happen here. Every problem get the result by the next scene or next ep.

The forced accidents that I notice (not by order, just by my memory):
- Zhou Ming Ming (MM) being teased by his friend, the next thing that happen, those friends need to be saved by him & got forced to do all the rescuer exercises, so they got to know what it feel like to be the rescuer.
- When MM need money for his company, the next moment there is someone invest in his company.
- Zhan Yan (ZY) need to confirm her feeling for Luo Ben (LB), the next thing that happen, they trapped together & get the moment together. Same thing happen with Ding Ding Ding (DDD), when she need to confess to MM, the next thing that happen, the accident where MM saved her.
- One of the most stupid forced things when MM want to married DDD. They obviously on the fight mode, after MM's mom visit DDD's parent, and they also break up. Still DDD upload the comic where she tell the story of their character being proposed. It's just the same with you put on bulletin board what do you want. When MM see that, just light bulb in his head, he go proposed without need to find out first why DDD angry & break up with him.
- When LB need reason to go visit ZY in the village after they fight & break up. Of course the next thing that happen, something happen to ZY where LB need to rescue her.
- When Da Peng need money for his daughter illness, the next thing that happen, someone offered big piled of money, of course with the clause he has to follow.
- After Xiong Fei (XF) just learning sign language, Luo Yuan (LY) just easily and conveniently using sign language like he understand all...
- Almost every ep, there were something need rescued. Expecially related with raining & floated.

Apart from all the forced accidents that happen, there are also several things that minus in a way:
- The moment LB forgive ZY's dad. In my opinion it's just lack one scene, where they talk heart to heart. Unfortunately what we got only after the confession that Zhan Qing Shan made, the next thing we know LB & him already casually talk like nothing ever happen between them.
- We don't know what happen in ZY's head after she broke up with LB. LB said he contacted her few times but she never picked up. WHY? What r u afraid of. The forgiveness must come from LB's side. For me the moment he's already contact her that mean he's already let go of the past. Why doesn't she pick up the phone...????

Every drama still have good & bad things. The good thing:
+ The Humanity aspect for the volunteer rescue squad. Not everything can be measure with money.
+ How to not judge book by its cover. XF is former inmate, but that's doesn't mean he did something bad for it
+ How to fight for something. I don't know this actually good or bad point. But everything that LB did to XF & LY kinda good & bad. Good because yeah finally we know for sure what XF willing to sacrificed for LY, but at the same time it's also bad because it's a little bit too much for me. That's also why almost all the rescue squad misunderstood LB in the first place.
+ I really like the character of DDD. Although yes DDD sometimes like has no manner, but I really like how thick her face when she deal with MM's mom. She's takes no for answer, no matter how rude MM's mom was, until she forced to accept DDD & see her with new perspective.
+ The forgiveness. How in the end ZY forgive her dad.
+ No crazy love rival. Yeah we got love rival. But I love how easy they let go their feeling. It's the mature things to do. Expecially LB's friend (I forget her name), after LB reject the watch from her & said those words, she just understand & let go without go crazy. I really like how when she about to go abroad she still turn for the last time like she's still heavy to release the feeling.

Although I watch this for Janice Wu & Luo Yun Xi. But one of my biggest disappointment is the chemistry between Janice Wu & Luo Yun Xi. Something strange about them, like something not click between them. I don't know it's just because of the character of the actor themselves, expecially from Janice, I feel Janice feeling so tense toward Luo Yun Xi. Yeah I know her character is kinda cold & don't understand romantic feeling. That's why I told you that I don't know it's just because of the character of the actor themselves.

Overall this just another drama to watch

Too painful to watch

I really can't bear to watch the sufferings of Lu An Ran (AR). So yeah I watch jump this drama, but enough to grab the big picture.

One conclusion I can get from this drama. Destiny is really exist. Chinese people often said destiny line can't be changed, everything already written for you in destiny book. Several thing AR can change with very painful way, but something also can't be change whatever she did.

Watching this make me question myself what will I do if I were AR. Will I run as far as possible from Mu Ze & Emperor's family? Or I also will fight the destiny and kick his butt like AR did? Probably I'll gonna try ran as far & as fast as possible from all that painful destiny, because I'm not as brave as AR.

In the end, If you look for revenge drama with different tone, this drama you can try to watch.... But overall this actually one good drama. It just me who has no gut to continue watch it....

Watch this for my 2022 Alphabet Drama / Movie Challenge and the title and also the story remind me of America movie 17 again, which turn out this drama based upon.

What I like:
+ How this drama elaborate more the old married couple problem. Jung Da Jung (DJ) & Hong Dae Young simply remind us how not neglect little thing in our daily life with our partner, even as old married couple. Like how to say love or miss you to our couple, and also simple gesture that show we still care with our partner, like notice when they tired or just need ears to listen.
+ The flashback that take away our emotion. But unfortunately they didn't give us clue when the relationship turn bitter. Just a bit glance & the big bang that explode it.
+ How important the communication is. The good point, even though they married young but they emotion relatively stable in their young age. The relationship turn south because the lack communication from both couple. The feeling better I keep it to myself then make another burden to my partner become daily consumption that eat us now or later.
+ The fight after the re-married. Even after their re-married doesn't mean the problem end there. They still fighting but they also communicate more.
+ The changing perspective of the head department in TV station. How DJ just using her capability to shut people mouth and just prove herself.

Overall this one good drama to spend your times with....
