Forgiveness after the extent his character went to even is a stretch because forgiveness from where? From the grave? Because from his point of view he had already killed her and destroyed her family, she just happened to not die.
I must have watched this ten years ago, I liked it very much at the time that I remember it till today. Even though I might have felt it was a bit absurd and quirky, I decided it was a Kmovie style, when you watch a lot of the movies you notice that fast breakneck pace, over the top fantastic plot and sometimes surrealism makes the kmovies a lot different from the kdramas. Some surrealistic elements are the norm in some of the older low budget kmovies. I find it honestly interesting and If I had time would like to investigate what the Korean society and pop culture was like in the 90s and early 2000s thereby informing the sort of fiction/humor that was popular. This might be why I also like a lot of the Reply franchise dramas (97, 88) though they are much more politically correct than this pulpy movie. 7.5/10 for me for sentimental reasons.
