I think that it actually reinforces the message of the original and making this show is such a huge irony. All…
I understand your point of view and I agree that it does have its own message and reinforces the capitalist image however I still believe it takes away from the origins a lot. I also think it was unnecessary and didn’t need to happen at all. In fact most fans of the original would rather season 2 and maybe more could be released sooner without netflix investing their time in a project like this. However I respect your opinions and thank you for giving me a different point of view to look at :)
I know it’s just netflix trying to make as much money off the same concept as they can before the hype dies down but the whole show rubs me the wrong way. In the real show there is an actual storyline and message behind the squid game and all the games they play whilst competing. If you’ve watched it then you’ll know it’s a lot deeper than just a bunch of people dying trying to win money. This show however totally takes away from the reason behind the original. I understand it’s not supposed to be a direct remake but I’m sure most people would agree with me when I say season 2 is what we want not a badly done American remake. Without the characters and plot it really does just look like a bunch of adults running around playing children’s games for money. Not to mention the obvious favouritism for certain participants. Some people might watch this and get put off watching the original or season 2 because it corrupts their understanding. I am not a fan of this at all but it’s entertaining to watch people make a fool of themselves on tv so I’ll finish it.
Really...they sounded American to me. Besides, this is a reality TV show, and not fictional like the original…
as an english person I can assure you none of them sounded remotely british from the trailer and the prize pot was dollars not pounds so please don't disrespect the uk especially if you're misinformed
I never told you I didn't give a fuck so don't try and tell me that I'm the one making assumptions. Bohyun and Jisoo's feelings haven't got a shit to do with me and how can we know how deep their relationship was or wasn't. I normally hate fan shipping but it's a harmless joke not armaggedon. Stop being an annoying blink who takes offence at everything said towards blackpink. It was a joke that neither Jisoo or Bohyun will ever see. No need to turn it into mourning just because two celebrities broke up after like a month of publicly dating. One of the only reasons it was announced anyways is because YG was trying to take heat of the contract renewals. It's not that deep and obviously there was no malicious intent. Grow Up
