THE MORE I WATCH THE WORSE IT GETS HELP ME WHY CAN THEY FIGHT? he just jumped in the air for 10 miles ok im tapped…
This episode was seriously an illogical, hilarious mess. And agreed. The man bicycled his way through the air to get to the bad guy. Also, Sky was injured the whole time, with a wound that the bad guys said was fatal, but apparently they forgot all about that during the fight, with Sun using Sky's legs to ward the enemy away. Goodness, you were right about it being some sort of acid trip.

No worries! Totally agree with you. I'm currently watching Light on me, and goodness, what I thought would be a very straightforward plot is chalking up to be very very interesting. It's set in a school, but it's really different at the same time. Thai bls always follow the same formula, and it's a shame that they can't explore different possibilities within the same setting as well. It's always borderline creepy, toxic and lacks anything of value. I recently saw My Engineer, and I was very close to banging my head on the wall.

I've seen some of the earlier Japanese shows, and they too were quite narrow in a certain sense, but yeah, they're definitely changing. From Ossan's Love to Cherry Magic, I can see how far the Japanese bl industry has come.

I'd still put the Pinoy bls at the top tier regardless. Do give Taiwan a try as well, some of the shows by them do rely on tropes, but they're a breath of fresh air nonetheless.

Damn. This show is defying my expectations. I thought it'd be a straightforward plot that tells us who'll end up with who right from the get go. But with Da On's indecisiveness due to his nature and his discomfort with the rumour spreading around, plus Shinwoo's growing selflessness is really putting me in a bind. The latter cares for Taekyung, but he's equally worried about his friend. And I understand that Da On is really working hard to set his priorities right. He's reached a sort of breaking point, and he's coming to understand that by undermining his feelings, he's hurting those who care about him as well.

This is by far the most interesting love triangle I've ever seen. I hate love triangles, so this accounts for something. And this show could very well be better than most of the korean bls I've seen. Sure, it has some issues: a spiteful female character, homophobic classmates, among others. But I think this show has managed to develop each character really well. They aren't just pretty faces anymore (Thai bls can't get away from this), everyone is flawed, and that's what stands out. I'm still surprised by Shinwoo's openness, and how determined he was to both give Taekyung up or continue crushing on him.

Damn. This is chalking up to be really good.

P.S Namgung is amazing y'all. And I'm saying it for the umpteenth time.

I apologise for being nitpicky, but that scene where the bad guy used the camera app instead of facetime to call Sky's dad was hilarious lol. I guess reception was horrible in that warehouse.🤷🏻

Man The Cringe and The Second Hand Embarrassment is strong with this one. Look this drama is ok. It’s kinda…
I agree with you on manner of death. lol. I went into that with zero expectations, and ended up being very confused. I could only sum that show up as 'dead bodies that can breathe and human beings that don't die after getting shot six times', because that's what's really preposterous and perplexing about it.

And I do agree with how repetitive the shows are getting. Take Nitiman or My Engineer for example. Except for I told sunset about you, there's nothing remarkable.

I say that the Filipino bl industry is lightyears ahead. Their bls are so conversation driven and wonderful, even if they aren't rated that well. And good conversation or communication is the one thing that most thai bls lack. Even Japan and Taiwan are getting ahead.

So I've finally caught up with this show, after debating (for quite a while) whether I needed to watch it or not. To put it simply, it's not a revolutionary show. The bodyguard-rich kid dynamic had been done before, and I do agree with everyone saying that they could have built on it better. Even then, I still think the show could do better with the material that they have, if the actors could do the same. Boat is pretty consistent, and sticks to what his character mandates, meanwhile there's much room for improvement with regards to Gun. I think the main issue with ep.6 is Gun's portrayal of anger. To be honest, it was not an appropriate 'angry reaction'. As a playwright, I've learnt that there are many different kinds of anger. It's not the same all the time, with someone repeatedly shouting and catching us off-guard everytime, screaming, whining or continually gritting your teeth. The kind of anger that had to be brought out in this episode should have been gentle, but with heavy undertones of tension. That gives the scene, as well as the script, some amount of gravity.

I've seen this sort of outburst of anger before (albeit, it was acted out reasonably), particularly in Lovely Writer, between Up and Kao (I hope y'all know when this happened). It caught me by surprise because, though the reason to be angry was totally valid, the angry reaction by itself outweighed the reason a tad bit.

To me, an appropriate reaction would be something like Yoo Seung Ho's furious outpouring somewhere towards the end of I am not a robot (not a bl; a k-drama). It was right at that moment, because the character was furious at the fact that everyone betrayed him, especially the person he trusted the most. It was a great mixture of sadness and anger.

This though. Well. Gun has miles to go before becoming a good actor. But he really needs to work on how to emote appropriately. And in terms of the characters, I totally understand why Sun didn't want to confess immediately. It would put not only his livelihood at risk, but he could very well be doomed because Sky's dad might retaliate.

On the other hand, Bank and Pitch are nice. Their story's pretty interesting and I hope to see more of them.

In short, it's not a great watch, but if you need something to pass your time, it's not bad too.

Yes! Although I saw him in the movie Tune in for love first. I'm currently watching Something in the Rain, and I'm enjoying it so far!

Thank you for this! I really enjoy watching Jung Hae In act. I just finished watching One Spring Night, and he was amazing in that. Will move onto the next then!

I'm only halfway through this show, and I do agree with the people who say that it got some kind of charm to it. It isn't high quality, and the plot isn't original, but I guess the setting makes for some sort of difference. BUT, the music---oof. A very big oof on that. I've heard a few wonderful songs from Isan, but this ain't it. It presents music as one its many focal points, but they honestly shouldn't have done that. In my opinion, it doesn't really add anything of value to the show. Anyhow, the show in itself is tolerable from what I've watched so far, with a few good comedic moments sprinkled throughout.

P.S I wish I could yeet those ugly green alien masks to Dante's Inferno, if humanly possible.
On Be Loved in House: I Do Jul 29, 2021
Not going to lie. From ep 5 or 6 on, I think I just kept watching because of the soundtrack. It's honestly not bad and the songs kind of grew on me. The plot did start to get messy and directionless at around ep 8 or 9, but it was a pretty breezy watch nonetheless.

Also, this was a major reminder that I should just wait for all the eps to come out. Lesson learned.

Okay. Namgung Shi Woon is the best. It's refreshing to see a really sensible character in a bl (it's quite rare in my opinion). Plus, I'm glad that they're building on Taekyung and Shin Woo's relationship. Tbh, with the way Da On is, and how straightforward Taekyung is, I couldn't see them going in the right direction.

P.S. If So Hee really did leak that photo, she's in deep shiz. How can you expect your crush to like you back in any way if you outed them? Glad Shi Woon gave her a piece of his mind.

Here's a list with reasons why ShinTae is most likely endgame. I need to do this to comfort myself after today's…
Totally agree with you. I'm slowly finding myself rooting for Shin Woo and Taekyung (lol, I fell for the trope, anywho). However, I did notice that Taekyung was wearing a bracelet similar to the one he gave Da On in the beginning of the first ep (when they were twenty). Not sure if it's a couple bracelet thingy, or something to remember Da On by? I'm not sure if it's the same bracelet even. But I still think Shin Woo and Taekyung might end up together.

I'm late to this party but Bohn is the worst male lead I've ever seen (not that Duen is any less worse; still tolerable), next only to the ultimate jackass - Khai from Theory of Love.

I checked this series out only because people loved Ram and King, and in all honesty, they're the only people worth watching. Boss and Mek are alright, but their relationship is illogical and unrealistic, but we can still tolerate it. There isn't much to go on with regards to Thara and Frong.

If there's anything going for this show, it's the RamKing pairing. You may choose to skip all of the main couple's childish, jealousy-ridden exchanges (which is a huge chunk of the show, but meh).

Hope they focus more on Ram and King if there's a second season.

I have to say, skate our souls got me shedding tears right off the bat. This show is amazing and is definitely a must watch. I began watching it because I was impressed with how well James could act, but my god, this show is on another level. I usually don't like to get emotionally attached to a story, but this one proved me wrong. All I can say is, if you're thinking of watching this show, please go ahead. It gives us a realistic portrayal of mental health issues, and is dealt with very well. It might not be for everyone, as some have stated here, because of the gravity of the issues portrayed, but it's amazing nonetheless.
On My Little Happiness Jul 14, 2021
This was a pretty good c-drama. I usually don't watch dramas that have 20+ eps, but this one still got me watching till the end. Although it began dragging a bit towards the end, the drama progressed quite well, and gave all characters a very satisfactory ending. Now, although the leads were very good and their chemistry was great right from the beginning, I personally began getting hooked to Wen Rang and Chengcheng's arc, and always ended up waiting for their scenes to show up (lol). I think out of all the fluff and shininess in this show, I think the most realistic reaction was that of the second male lead, and how he attempts to get over his crush on Cong Rong. Nonetheless, this was a pretty nice watch.

PS. Everytime they showed Shangguan's face during the wedding. lol. That was overkill.

Though this show presents us with an extremely common and predictable storyline, it's a step in a different direction for Korean bl dramas. I've never seen a Korean bl drama contain sixteen eps, with more than ten minutes per ep, so it seems like their industry is beginning to open up to the genre. With regards to the show in itself, the lead's slightly stilted, but that maybe because his character's drawn up that way, or because this is the actor's first show . Since there are only two eps, you can't really tell if it'll get better. I hope it does, especially with the new format. The rest of the cast are quite good, being relatively new actors. However, I'm not a fan of love triangles (of any kind, and this show has two of them; sigh), and although we're introduced to Shin Woo and Da On, we know who's the obvious choice. Yet, it's a pretty chill and okay show overall. It doesn't require much brain power to decipher, because of its predictability, and seems like the kind of show you'd finish watching all at once in around two hours once it's completely out.

You could give it a try if you're into fluffy, unicorn level stuff, or need to take a break from more serious shows.

I have to say, looking at the title, I wasn't really sure about this show. But little did I know that I stumbled upon what might be one of the funniest k-dramas I've seen in a while. This show is honestly a good break from all the melodramatic shows out there. It's light and refreshing, and even pulls off all the comedic tropes well. It's usually stressful to watch a 16 ep. drama, with the plot dragging in the middle, but I was surprised with how consistent the show has been for the past six episodes. The comedy is quick-paced and the romance unfolds in a very chill manner. This is the second drama I've seen from Kim Ji Seok and Jung So Min (When the Camellia and Because this is my first life being the first shows I'd seen from them), and they're pulling each scene off really well. What's great about this show is that there's no dull moment in it, so it's great to watch after a long, stressful day. Seeing Jung Gun Joo is a delight as well (despite him being the second lead. Sigh. But oh well), and the rest of the cast are very interesting. This is definitely one of those feel good shows that we often brush off at first glance, similar to be melo. Do give it a try if you're sick of watching those cranky rom-coms or draggy dramas.

PS. Kim Ji Seok's whale dance (got me bopping my head from side to side) and that elevator scene (comedy gold) were amazing. Period.
