I know what you mean. It was my first thought when I saw people looking for more Jing Boran's dramas. Let's hope he does another drama likeTES and with the right actress.

I finished it, but not a rewatch. I disliked the scene when she was nursing and she pulled the curtain on the ML. How ridiculous. I realize it was part of the script, but even the way she was with the baby was disappointing. She had her foot rocking the bassinet or something I don't remember while she read a magazine. What could have been such a beautiful, tender moment was just so disappointing. The scene at the end with the little girl was adorable. What a cutie!

It is good you feel that way. She seems like a sweet person off screen. I am sure she is talented but I no longer add her dramas regardless of the ML. I usually watch romance and it doesn't work when she is the FL.

She is hilarious in comedy but not a good fit in romance.

Watch The Early Spring instead. I didn't feel the chemistry in Road Home unless it worked for you on the 3rd try. It is not bad but not the best.

I watched this when it came out and loved it at first but the actress didn't leave a good impression. Her intimate scenes look forced and stiff. I am also watching TES. I am here as I saw some looking for more of his dramas and wondered how this compares after watching TES.

Good luck. As good as he is, the chemistry didn't work. It's too bad because the story itself was good. I don't know why this actress was chosen.

She just goes through the motions in those intimate scenes. I finished it but removed it from my list as I didn't want to give it a low rating from the aggravation of watching her.

I wish people would stop the deliberate hate and just be fair to all actors and actresses. You mentioned toxic shippers and TWX's toxic fans. ZLH's fandom is known to be problematic and toxic also. It goes both ways. I have seen some nasty comments from them.
Good for you that you enjoyed it. There will be more ZLH dramas. I don't like the melancholia. I dropped it but did not rate. I believe the rating to be deserved. To me, it was terrible!

You cannot blame the low ratings on POJ shippers. People who watched POJ loved ZLH and wanted to see him in this. There is no denying his pull. This drama is just simply terribly for those who find it relentlessly miserable. If you love the angst, then you might like this, but it was a messy melancholic drama. Don't be so quick to judge other fandoms as toxic. Have you seen the comments from ZLH's fandom? Come on! The rating is low because to most of us, it was torture watching it.
