Okay I’m seeing a lot of people being irritated, annoyed, and even hating on Chang Ge’s character due to the recent episodes, and I don’t things that it’s exactly fair for us all to blame her for everything that had happened.
Was she impulsive and rash in her decisions? Yes. Should she have been more careful and listened to Sun’s warnings? YES. Should have have communicated more with Sun and come up with a better plan rather than rushing inside the Khan’s tent? YES.
But, I’d like to remind everyone that Change Ge was a princess who has pretty much been happy and carefree for most of her life. Not to mention she is 15 and has lesser experience compared to Sun who grew up learning how to survive on his own.
Another important fact that someone had mentioned earlier is that we viewers are able to see the story unfold and see and understand from everyone’s perspectives. However the characters themselves don’t.
Therefore Chang Ge has no way of knowing how Sun truly feels about her and all the things he has done for her.
In her mind, she has lost everyone she has cared about. Although Sun has become her friend and ally, he was still the one who had captured and humiliated her in front of everyone, even though it was for her own good. But then again, she has a hard time understanding that because she can’t imagine why he would do so.
The only thing that matters to Chang Ge now is Tang. Love isn’t something that is on her mind. For her love for Tang, she was even willing to put aside her revenge towards her uncle, which had been the only thing that had kept her going in the beginning. She doesn’t value her life, and is willing to do everything she can to help Tang.
It was Sun’s decision as well as Alir’s to involve themselves in her plan. She didn’t want to implicate Sun or the Eagle division, and had told him multiple times that she should just let her bare the consequences of her own actions.
However, Sun being the amazing man that he is, continues to protect and save our stubborn and impulsive heroine.
No one is truly at fault here, and I just wanted to shine a different perspective on things. Sorry for the long post!
Hopefully after this event, Chang Ge will mature through her time with her new master and start to understand Sun and his love for her, as well as reciprocate his feelings.
Does anybody know the bgm/instrumental music that plays in the scene during ep 23 when the commoners (nurse, tailor, risckshaw man, slavehunters...) assembled and came to seek refuge and help out the Righteous Army; or the scene during ep 20 when Eugene was inside the French Bakery asking the baker to let him meet with Ae Shin? Both scenes have the same bgm score and it’s my most favorite one used in the drama. However I can’t seem to find it. :(( if anybody knows what it is called or manages to find it, please let me know!!! Thank you.
Did anyone notice that they changed the background music in that one scene in the last episode? The version that…
YES!!! I noticed that too! Basically all of the websites that has ep 52 engsubs in it has changed the background music and I’m trying to find one that has the original. It’s just not the same without all three background music together. Especially the song that starts playing once Xiaofeng dies! It was perfect! Why did they change it?? ???????? if you find anybody finds a subbed one with the original background music please let me know! ????????
